I do. And I would describe it to you, but I enjoy my posting privileges too much

There were at least 3 there.. maybe protecting the refs at that point ??.. also in the video, who is the kid in the white pants and black hoodie ?.. he was not a player in that game.. but somehow comes from the Liberty bench and is hitting the Zachary kid in the back of the head within 3 seconds

I feel like for incidents like this the home team should bear greater responsibility… some of these gyms you’re sitting right on the court with nothing between the game and you.

It works for the NBA because they have adequate security and you’re paying $1,000 for the tickets. High schools need to install railings or barricades between the court and fans

Looks like some of these schools need to install cages.

I saw a lot of expensive shoes in that video! Say 200.00 a pair, 50 people on the court, that's 10,000.00 right there.
Now how much in the whole gym? 500 people? Drop the average down to say 150.00 a pair. 75,000.00 in shoes???

Wow, coach for Liberty in red collared shirt (assuming he's a Liberty coach) is the first on the court and tackles the Zachary player.

eta: apparently it was the Zachary coach

HS base and softball are much more mundane. Football is too for the most part, The LHSAA lowering the boom on some for football brawls is a huge factor. basketball is different for officials, because of close proximity to crowd and no barriers.

I can tell you in our little youth sports world I work with, basketball has more issues with this kind of stuff than all the other sports combined.

I think the nature of physical fouls has a lot to do with on court behavior, and like you said, there is no fence / barrier seperating fans from the court like there is in the other sports.

We've had parents run on to the court during the game because of an issue. That doesn't happen in other sports (and for us, the parent is banned from the facility for the remainder of the season, that still doesn't deter them, they just pull their kid from the team).

It's actually problematic nationwide with hoops in particular. BR isn't nearly as bad as some urban areas. Curious as to how the LHSAA handles this one. As both would be pretty high seeds if the playoffs started today.
They have to follow the protocol theyve used already, IMO. This whole thing theyre trying to do to get this shite to stop goes out the window if you just adjust because of their current seeds.

I looked it up, both of these schools are “A” rated schools.

Let that sink in.
