They'll probably lose to Penn State, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Maybe even Northwestern and Nebraska.

on a different note, let me ask you a question how does a team like osu and georgia lose first place votes with impressive wins to two teams that had a bye?

Ohio State moved up in both the AP and Coaches.

i realize that, but that wasn't the question. them losing first place votes is a head scratcher to me. ( i know it's irrelevant to the CFP)

The point I was making is that they were moved up by the majority.

The outliers that had them(Ohio State) #1 last week probably watched us gain 16 yards in the 1st quarter.

If you go by eye test, Ohio State didnt flash yesterday. But Michigan State has a very good front 7.

i know.. i never go against osu as far as the spread.. this week i did, but thought i could hedge the bet by taking the over.

7-5 is a good season at Minnesota.

You could see their obvious improvement over the back half of last season, completed with blowout wins over Wisconsin and GT. Their schedule has been squishy soft this year but they could be sitting at 8-0 when Penn State comes to town.

I'll give you the Wisconsin win but Tech was awful and the players and coaches were mentally and physically checked out for that fricking game in Detroit lol. I just consider that game an extension of their Charmin soft schedule this year

I know coach fleck is feeling elite right now!

Fleck is very ambitious. He is looking for the next opening that will enhance his career. He will probably use this year's success to move up in the coaching world.

They beat:

South Dakota st by 7

Fresno by 3 in OT

Georgia southern by 3

Purdue by 7

They are a mediocre team at best

He has long said that he plans to stay in the Midwest for the rest of his career. However, he is also the same guy that accepted the OC job at Northern Illinois only to resign a day later to sign as the wr coach for the Tampa bay bucs. So who knows.

Not saying they’re a juggernaut, but looking back, Minnesota’s close win over South Dakota St doesn’t look so bad and it has become a pretty decent win. SDSU is 6-1 and has a huge game against North Dakota St this week. That win could look even better if they could somehow pull off the upset. Again, not saying it’s a great win, but it’s certainly turned out to be a good win.
