Only way to get truthful responses is to move this to the OT.

1/3 of these times are horse shite and 1/3 are lies. One year I started a high school team from scratch. 1A, less than 20 eligible, and many never played for. The good ones were small slow and weak. They worked hard and tried though, most of them. When they ran 40's for the first time, I shaved .3-.5 off of some their times. Gave them some confidence they needed. Only 2-3 broke sub 5's.

My best time was 5 flat in high school at 5'10 220. I also benched 315 and squatted 540. Not bad for OL/DL

Stop watches are just really hard to use accurately. I was at CHS when Dunn ran a 4.23 and K. Franklin ran a 4.17. Prob pretty close.

Screw that. Post was too long to get buried at the bottom of the last page

Your post was great and informative until you decided to post your workout stats to brag to everyone

A. It's a sports message board.
B. The thread asked for it!
c. I can't brag about my time, I had to find something. FWIW, that was almost 20 years ago, I have some good numbers now I am not bragging about it

Sorry I offended your sensibilities. I'll be sure to keep laser focus from now on when answering in threads on TD. Please tell me you called out some of these 4.3 guys. I least I'm being honest. I forgot that the interwebz was such serious business!

5.0 laser timed at 6ft 210lbs

Was on a D1 baseball team for 2 years. Had 2 guys out of 35 on the team run sub 4.6

Only 5 guys on the football team at same school (finished the year at #12 in coaches poll) ran sub 4.5 on same laser system. All 5 played in the NFL.

5 is still laughable

rummel was lucky if they had 5, and they had 3xs as many boys, if not more, and a better team

4.5 is blazing.

Newman definitely didn't have anyone the past two years who was running anywhere that fast. Vinson/Beckham had to be the last.

Now that we have the answers from the athletes that are on this site... should I start this thread on the ot and see what the answers are from people who have never played sports?
