It was clearly the right call I don't blame anyone but Toney. Seen several people say the Chiefs are missing Bienemy and maybe that's true. Lots of uncharacteristic little things, drops, wrong routes, etc..oh well gotta get it fixed. As for Mahomes I get it, I didn't like some of Brady's antics. I'm not going to let this change my view of him after years of handling things great but he should've done a lot better. The way they're playing they'll be 1 and done in the playoffs and might be for the best long term.

It's not just Mahomes... Kelce coming out and saying the ref shouldn't be allowed to wear a zebra jersey anymore... not even work at footlocker...

they act like this is the most egregious call in history and kept them from making the Super Bowl

Honestly how in the hell do they think they have any leg to stand in regards to Toney not being offsides?

Buffoon Andy Reid said it in his press conference. He said the refs should have given the Chiefs a warning after the play. He really expected his player to be able to line up a yard offsides and the refs just say, now don’t do that again. What’s worse is the guy who lined up that far offsides is the one who caught the lateral and scored. Reid’s a goofball

As a former High School QB myself...Mahomes should have recognized the fact that his receiver was lined up offsides and moved him back. The refs gives signals if the wideout is on or offsides and many times the receiver will ask the ref if he is good.

Thus...proving my theory that the NFL has players willing to follow a script and refs help determine the outcomes.

For him to flip out over a correct call seems scripted, when last week there was a clear pass interference that was not called...why NOT freak out over that...a least that was a bad non-call.

I'm all about games being tilted a certain way but this is a bad take

I mean its just frustration from several weeks in a row of a call affecting the game. last week it was the no call on the obvious PI, this week it was the offsides that it appears they usually get warnings for. vs Philly you had a few questionable calls.

it all adds up. It is sad it took that play away though because that was a really cool play

This is such a wild hill to die on.

It's not like it toe was barely on the line. His entire foot was in the NZ.

I think part of the problem is not a lot of people understand the rule itself (that only the center can be in the NZ).

Meh, it was a bad look for sure, but it’s not like it’s some unredeemable sin

You must not have seen that Quaterbacks show that had his trashy arse wife in it. Hard to respect anyone that would marry that skank.

Damn. I wanted to turn it off anytime they let her talk/yell/whine for more than 10 seconds.

This whole thing boils down to one thing. The dude lined up offsides. Period.

Reid and Mahomes aren't blind.

They simply need Toney, and know it, and this whole shtick is for deflection purposes.

Seems odd that most people wouldn't understand this. I feel like this rule has been around (and enforced, mostly on the defense) since I was a kid (30 years ago).

In any case, Mahomes and Reid became incredibly unlikeable with the way they've handled this.

Combine that with the fact that the Chiefs are already perceived to get very favorable calls/non-calls every week...their whining about this blatantly obvious correct call is rubbing everyone even further the wrong way.

get ready for more mahomes crying!
everything was fine when you were on that rookie contract, now, all roster decisions are magnified when you are commanding as much of the salary cap as you are.
it's gonna be tough to retain players or get top WR's when Mahomes and Kelce make as much as they do.
plus you sacrifice elsewhere and piss off a franchise DT in Chris Jones.
all teams go through it, you have to find the complementary pieces in the draft and that's also hard to do when you are drafting towards the back end of rounds with the success they've had
