That is all.
UFC is a joke.

Did you just wake up and watch Sports Center?
Posted on 7/12/26 at 9:40 am to shutterspeed
I did just wake up, but I do not watch Sportscenter.
Hyped up fights by two legacy UFC fighters in the last couple of months and neither make it into a minute of round 1.
Woof.

Fighting is a young man’s game for the most part. It is especially a young g man’s game for how McGregor fights.
I’d rather fights like Paddy the baddy had then watching 5 rounds of the goat frickers jumping people.
Give me action like we saw on the White House card.
Yes the max mcgregor fight was a dud because of injury but outside of that the White House card and this one had some banger fights, much better than anything boxing has put out.

UFC always been a lowbrow sport… i never thought it compared to boxing in skills or entertainment

It’s kinda the nature of the beast for fighting isn’t it?

100% agree. These morons here believe the fake job he did. Only a person who has seen or had it happened to, a real knee injury or witnessed several knee injuries will know he was faking that shite. Yes he faked it. There was no...
No medics/doctors
No absolute pain on his face
Walked off with no help and still no pain on his face.
A real trama to his knee he would have never even be able to walk at that moment.
shite was staged. Sorry guys.
UFC = WWE
Anyone who knows about a torn ligament, a twisted ligament, damaged meniscus or any injury in the knee is a very painful trauma in the knee joint and sometime hurts worse than a broken bone. The dude faked his shite and took yalls money like the idiots they think yall are.

An inconvenient truth for the UFC fanbois.
But it's still the truth.

No, Conor McGregor is a joke.

Apparently not. When an MMA fighter wants to make money, they have to go to boxing.

MMA feels like a late 20s-early 30s man's game

That’s the ideal target area for being in prime for fighting. Being 38, 5 years removed from last fight, two big injuries and living the life style McGregor lives now is not ideal for being high level at mma

I have seen many people walk off torn ligaments, both in person and in professional/collegiate sports.
I watched a guy tear his Achilles right next to me a couple weeks ago and he walked off the court and drove home with no issue
In short: you are talking directly out your arse.

You don't know what the frick you are talking about in regards to the injury. It is also clear you have never done any grappling or combat sports. Only a truly uninformed moron makes the statements you did.

Can you expand on this a little more, specifically the skills part. MMA guys kill boxers in fights. Now, if you're talking just specifically skills in boxing, then I have no disagreements. However, if you're talking fighting skills, it's MMA guys and it's not even close. Muay Thai guys would destroy boxers.

This is a pretty tough argument to make when some of the biggest boxing matches the last few years have featured UFC fighters trying to get a payday. That's how lame boxing has become.
I used to love boxing, but it's largely a joke nowadays. The biggest fights now are, as I mentioned, between UFC fighters and a boxer or old fighters trying to get one last payday. For the most part, big boxing matches no longer happen because the fighters are too worried about a loss on their record, so they don't fight the best boxers in the world. That and having a thousand different promotions and boxing has become a watered down product. You also have someone like Jake Paul who has made a mockery out of boxing.
It's very telling that you had to wait for something like this to happen to be able to make this thread.
I still love watching boxing when it's a good fight, but good fights are few and far between now. You can't say the same for the UFC.

A good friend of mine, Tom Lawlor, tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus in the first round of one of his fights years ago. He fought through the pain and won the fight. I mean, I know the guy personally. He wasn't faking shite.

I just don’t get modern boxing and UFC fans. Anytime something like this happens, and it always has BTW, we have people who want to delegitimize everything a fighter or the sport has ever done. This is a fan problem, not a sport or fighter problem. Too many grown men with the minds of children projecting their stunted perception onto people in the arena.
