There’s good coaching pedigree in this league. The rule changes are well thought out, and three of the four offenses we have seen today are taking advantage of it by running no huddle RPO schemes.

The AAF was mostly pro-style and the production sucked. Hard.

ETA: Mexican wave sighting. Full lower bowl too!

Debbie Downer?

I'm not shitting on the XFL. I just don't think the level of play is any better than the AAF.

The TV production is for sure better w/the XFL since it's done by ESPN and Fox as opposed to NFL and CBSN, I'm glad it still has kickoffs, and I like the playclock being just 25 seconds. Other than that I really don't see much difference.

Alright, Castillo, decide who you are. I need to know whether I should hate or love you.

I’m pretty sure the Houston kicker was also the kicker for DC earlier

It's been pretty damn entertaining to me so far. The production is FANTASTIC for a startup league. The biggest thing through both games is how poor the receivers hands are for the most part compared to The NFL or major college football. I think with a game or two they'll hopefully execute a bit better.

Update: the XFL blocked the lions from signing Josh Johnson so he can be a THIRD string QB for LA

That last play is exactly what Houston caught a DOI on in the first half. Oh well.
