Level of play seems pretty much the same to me. A lot of these guys were in the AAF too. Biggest difference to me is XFL still has a kickoff and the playclock is 10 seconds shorter.

I'm not sure why you'd think that other than the playclock being faster and the TV production value being better (NFLN and CBSSN suck the life out of games for whatever reason). These guys aren't any better than the AAF players.

I think it’s people wanting it to succeed and the owners aren’t sold out like AAFLdid. Level of play is same. The rules make it different. Especially the 25 clock. The AAFL was trying to send guys to NFL.
