Because right here he's pulling a Ron Swanson and just stating facts...

"I love Auburn," Malzahn told reporters Tuesday when asked about the Arkansas rumors. "Like I said in the past, I love my players, and we got a bright future here. Nothing's changed."

...sounds like he's considering it.

I’m sure he’s tired of being the punching bag for Auburn’s penis envy of the cousin frickers.

I would go if I was him. They’ll probably pay him the same, and the expectations are much much lower.

Doesn’t Gus have a $50 million buyout?

He should have gone after 2017.

Yes he had just beaten Saban to win the West, but he was never going to get Auburn above where Alabama was, so it was always just a matter of time.

If they give him another chance to go home he’d be an absolute fool not to take it. He would keep them competitive and make a big run every few years like Petrino did, and they’d name the stadium after him when he retires. The perfect fit.

And then we’d get to have Kiffin on The Plains, another perfect fit, to attack Saban from multiple fronts

They want him gone and Arkansas wants him. The buyout can be negotiated.

He should absolutely go.

Doubt he goes. He knows he can’t recruit the same level of talent at Arkansas as Auburn. His chance of success in Fayetteville is low.

Arkansas is one of those Resume killer jobs. As whoever takes that job will inevitably fail in the long run and end up destroying their resume.

“Fail” in what sense?

Winning a national title? Probably.

Consistently doing so, absolutely.

But Arkansas doesn’t expect that.

Get a coach that can get them to an SECCG every four years? Challenge for NY6 Bowls fairly regularly? Get to a bowl game every year? They’d build him a statue.

Arkansas is close enough to Texas, LA, Miss, Alabama to get the talent to run a specific system like Gus does.

He is a good offensive mind just isn’t going to consistently beat Saban in The Iron Bowl.

Arkansas would finally have their guy.

Arkansas would be happy with a coach who could be as consistent as Dan Mullen was at Mississippi State.

They aren't Ole Miss. Their expectations are realistic.

I could see him doing it. He's coached at Ark. State, it's always "he's on the hot seat, oh wait now he's ok" at Auburn. I wouldn't be surprised to see him take it.

Good luck with that. I think you ought to apply for the job.

For anyone to take that job, Arkansas is going to have to pay 5 or 6 million dollars a year, and because it is going to have to pay so much, the fans are going to have high expectations. However, those high expectations are going to be pretty impossible to achieve.

Coaching at Auburn is like sitting at the children’s table at thanksgiving but you’re 30, and married with 3 kids of your own

Arkansas should go after Norvell

brings in an offense that people will enjoy watching, recruits same areas, but now more areas open up with SEC ties(team in SEC), and he can get the bigger fish he might of missed out on, because of playing in p5 conference, to come to SEC.

If he is fired, 27 MM is owed to him. If he leaves, he owes the university 7 MM. If he wants out, they would let him walk free of charge.
