From an outsider looking in, they dont need to gamble on a young guy. They need an experienced coach that can lay a foundation. Les Miles/Butch Davis type.

Arkansas wants somebody that doesn't lose to North Texas, San Jose State ECT ECT...we aren't expecting championships but to be competitive in games.

Arky is still an SEC job (1 of 14) that will pay life altering wealth. Outside of maybe 10 coaches, everyone will at a min consider the possibility.

Doesn’t Gus have a $50 million buyout?

Every other year Auburn wants to fire him, and every other year they want to give him an extension and raise. Just have to catch him on the right year.

The right coach can mark Arkansas a thorn in the sides of LSU, Alabama and Auburn. We've seen it with Petrino and Houston Nutt.

We drive a hard bargain here at Auburn

"How's 49 million?"

"OMG that sounds grea..."

"BUYOUT IS 34 MILLION!"

"Oh wow but I can't affor..."

"If you breach you only pay 1/5 of that, we take all the risk!"

"This is awesome but you know I'm not actually going to Arkansas though"

The search has barely begun and I’m already sick of the Gus rumors. I’ve avoided the threads on the hog board and plan on avoiding everyone of these going forward that will be started. But I swear I’ll be done with hog football if we hire Gus. I guess it’s a good thing basketball has always been my tops.

How is that exactly?

A washed up Danny Ford won the SEC West at Arkansas.

Houston Nutt won or shared the SEC West Title 3 times.

Bobby Petrino Had arguably one of the best teams in the nation in 2010 and 2011. Bama, LSU, and Arkansas were 1-3 in the BCS standings in 2011 going into the last week of the regular season.

LSU went through a shite show in the 1990’s. Arkansas just happens to be going through a shite show of a span now. It happens. Arkansas has too much money, too good of facilities, for the shitshow to continue on.

Picture isn't accurate. There's 1 in Fayetteville and at least 4 others within 30 minutes of campus.

I was going to ask what the hell was wrong with y’all, not having a Waffle House. We’d have to revoke your SEC membership for that.

I bet there’s not one in CoMo

The only way he’s Arkansas’ coach is if Auburn fires him.

If he’s available he could be the next coach. Arkansas will never buy him out.

He played for Arkansas, plus that’s where he’s from. I could see him going or at least listening to them. Northwest Arkansas is not a bad place to live. Auburn area is nice too, but Arky is his homeland.
