I was thinking the same thing at kickoff. Awful design, beyond awful location (look it up on Google Earth), and far, far away from San Francisco.
Why the heck does NBC continually show sites from an hour away during the broadcast?
“Welcome to Monday Night Football in Seattle ( or New Orleans, Philadelphia, etc.). Thank you for for Goodyear for providing the aerial footage of Tacoma (or Baton Rouge, Allentown, etc.).

The theme park is still there (Great America) and it is way more impressive than Levi’s Stadium.
They took over the overflow parking lot.

Cedar Fair parks are the best parks

It's Midtown. The open portion of the stadium faces north, the IBM Tower can be seen clearly through the glass.

1990’s Tiger Stadium set the bar pretty low but I don’t get the obsession with constantly building new stadiums. I always leave talking about the game, not the stadium.

I can see the billion dollars in most of these new stadiums.
I just can’t see the billion dollars in Levi Stadium.

It looks like they didn't finish building Levi stadium. No character or real design to speak of.

To be honest I would rather they still be playing at Candlestick
The South Bay sucks and is a pain to get to
The gameday atmosphere sucks most with all of the tech bros, it's disgustingly corporate

The rest of the stadium costing $1.2B is still absurd.

Great America was cool for San Jose...but the Water Park next to it was better.
There are better theme parks than Great America. Six Flags for one (Magic Mountain)...way better.
The stadium makes sense for San Jose because San Jose sort of sucks. The Stick was shite but at least it was just outside the city...basically around the corner. Why S.F. could build a great baseball stadium and totally botch the football stadium is beyond me.
It appears they hired a bunch of Silicon Valley tech nerds who have no taste and just wanted a stadium in their backyard.

Yeah Levi's blows. I went to the Vikings stadium a few seasons ago, and it's incredible. Great location, too.

If you haven't seen it in person, the Vikings stadium is bad arse.

MetLife was beyond disappointing. Was basically an updated Tiger Stadium. Its out in the middle of nowhere from NYC. You have to walk forever from tailgates to the stadium.
It blows. Food is horrendous as well

MetLife is 8 miles from Madison Square Garden. That’s about as close a football stadium will be to Manhattan. Levis Field is 40 miles from San Francisco.

You don't know what you're talking about, do you?

The window portion does NOT face north, it faces generally east towards DOWNTOWN, not MIDTOWN. You basically cannot see the IBM Tower, which is way up on 14th street, unless you got up right next to the glass and squinted your eyes:

The building on the left center with the pyramidical top is NOT the IBM Tower, it is the Bank of America Building:
DOWNTOWN!

Met Life and Levi are clearly the worst of the new school (Los Angeles, Oakland, Santa Clara, Minnesota, Atlanta).
At&t is clearly the best of the stadiums constructed in the previous decade (Indianapolis, Arizona, Philadelphia, Seattle, Detroit, Foxborough, Houston, Denver, Pittsburgh, and Cinci). Not sure which is the worst between Phili and Cinci. State Farm (Arizona) and Lucas Oil (Indianapolis) are probably neck and neck for second place.
Fed-Ex is heads and shoulders above the worst remaining from the 90’s.

The Levi’s Stadium threads with Draconian Sanctions were awesome.
It’s got WiFi.
