Is Woody Widenhofer on that list? Not sure why Vandy hired him in the first place.
Not even Vandy’s worst coach. That would be Watson Brown by a country mile.

He was the architect of the Pittsburgh "steel curtain" defense in the 70s and had built a pretty solid defense at Vanderbilt as the DC of his predecessor, Rod Dowhower. He was obviously missing some of the attributes you look for in a head coach but he had a solid reputation as a DC. Plus it was Vanderbilt, which was about as dead end as you could get back then.

Not as bad as Greg Davis at Tulane
He left a roster with zero players who could bench 300. Buddy didn't know who was on the offensive line because nobody in the locker room was big enough.

Chad Morris at Arkansas was pretty bad

I'm sure the higher profile jobs are all in the video - but this hire in 2012 basically destroyed a pretty solid program - still to this day -

Easy to be Monday Morning QB and give some hindsight bullshite. Give me Willie Taggart. The dude absolutely wrecked, and not in a good way.

Was known in Lincoln as Bill Callahan-"job"

That wasn't from 1980-2000.

No idea why I originally saw that as 2020. My bad. Taggart still sucks though.

Is Mike DuBose #1 on that list? If not, he should be.
At least DuBose coached a game at Bama. Can't say the same for Mike Price.

Archer and Hellman. Back to back
Archer went 10-1-1 with Arnsparger's players and followed it up with an 8-4 and a co-SEC title (despite losing to Miami and Ohio State and then Syracuse in the bowl game) before 2 losing seasons. So he wasn't terrible, but, yeah, not a good long-term hire.
Hallman would've gone 5-6 at best with both of those winning teams Archer had. Absolutely stupefying LSU allowed Joe Dean to hire another head football coach after that disaster. He should have been fired, too, but he hired Gerry DiNardo, who wasn't a complete failure.
Thank goodness they took the coaching search out of Dean's hands after DiNardo and eventually his job when they hired Saban.

Kevin Steele was really bad. 9-36 (1-31 in conference) at Baylor.
Also had one of the biggest coaching mistakes ever when he chose to call a late run play instead of taking a knee, resulting in a fumble, and a game-winning scoop and score for UNLV on the final play.
