No. But I can criticize the manager when he pulls Wainwright after only 3 plus innings. Was he really getting hit that hard? It puts a greater strain on the bullpen when the starter can't even get through 5 innings.

Yeah Waino was getting drilled. My biggest issue was taking out Ponce for Whitley in the 8th.

Flaherty better be at cy young form tomorrow and for 7+ innings or it's RIP.

Excited for this Darvish-Sixto matchup today

I just feel like the Cubs will have to win 1-0 to fly the W. Outside that last White Sox series and a random 2 or 3 games this season, the Cub bats have been dead all year.

I can't tell you how many games they've gone into the 5th inning with no hits, but it's been more than I care to think about.

Idk if this has been discussed already, but the playoffs started with teams from these divisions.

Central - 7
East - 5
West - 4

Obviously this season is weird and this might all be random, but the Central is currently 2-12 (5 teams eliminated) with the Cubs trailing and the Cards v Pads tonight.

It's probably just an outlier but it could illustrate that the Central wasn't as good as the records show and those records happened because of the unbalanced schedule. Might be something for MLB to think about before they expand the playoffs without balancing the schedule. They won't... but they probably should.

it could be an outlier, but it's also pretty explainable. the central teams are all decent, but none are elite or very good. the records reflect that, at least on the NL side.

the brewers played the dodgers, that already basically doesn't count. everyone else was very much in their series and a few breaks could have turned any of them, which is kind of your outlier point.

i think if you play these playoffs 1000 times, the central still does poorly because none of the teams are top tier, but the reds, indians, twins, cubs, and white sox win their series plenty of times.

there is literally no reason for the mlb to overreact because the braves won a 14th inning game, brad hand blew a save, the astros had a 3 run 9th inning, etc...

Oakland and Miami both advance in the playoffs. Crazy times we live in.
