The Dbacks can’t hit the long ball. Thats been the difference. You can scrap out as many runs as you want, but you spend outs doing that. It’s much easier when you hit it out and clear the bases.
Say what you want about their fans sticking it out (kudos) and the team not giving up by putting runs on the board, but they rolled out 5 pitchers on the mound in the first three innings. 10 runs scored with 2 outs. That’s awful. It also allowed the Rangers to play pressure-free the whole way.
Still, ghosts of 2011 had me screaming at Smith and LeClerc.

I don’t even know what to call my current emotions. I still can not even fathom winning a World Series.
It felt like I was coming home to watch my 60-80 team play against the DBacks in August.
