The Rangers defense and pitching won game 3. Nice to see Semien and Lowe contribute. The Rangers had the second best fielding % in MLB this year. Second only to… The Snakes.

Look for Arizona to fight back. Their starting pitching has kept them in every game so far. The Rangers bullpen (TYFYS Jon Gray) kept them off balance after Max left with an injury. They’re young, dumb (not really) and full of come back grit, so I expect a high scoring game tonight.

And to spice things up a little, here’s Ray Wylie Hubbard singing Snake Farm.

Snake Farm - it just sounds nassssty

ETA: downvotes are equivalent to a ball lick, ladies.

I don’t think we are seeing Adolis again this series. Guys are going to have to step up. Defense was spectacular last night.

If it goes 6 or 7 I could see him coming back.

Maybe so. I do not trust this org to be honest about injuries

They’ll give him the meds and tell him swing away.

Him batting for contact isn’t necessarily the worst thing in the world. Either way the rest of the boys will have to figure it out. Marcus is thisclose to breaking out.

It looks kinda like a bullpen game tonight for both teams tonight. Really need Heaney to give at least a solid 4 innings tonight. I figure Dunning will be pitching a few innings.

I think tonight is the most crucial game for the guys. Win tonight and it sets up Valdi and Montgomery to win game 4. If we lose, Valdi still pitches tomorrow (I assume) with Montgomery in Game 6. That leaves a lot of questions for game 7

Yep we need to win one more game in Phoenix somehow. I don't want to go back to Texas needing to win both game 6 and game 7.

So stressful not having at least a legit 4 starter. I wish Gray didn’t fall off like he did towards the end of the season. He has been solid in the few bullpen relief this post season though. I trust him more than Heaney at this point.

Gray was looking really good the last few weeks of the season. To me it’s not even a question of if he starts a potential Game 7. Then you’d have the whole pitching staff behind him minus Max and Monty.

At the risk of looking to the off-season:
The Rangers desperately need to sign 2 legit starters & 2 set up men if they want to prepare for another deep playoff run in 2024.

Game 1 loss looming large. Don’t feel great about another bullpen win today.

Evaldi and Montgomery will be going on 3 days rest right? That scares me

What do the Ranger fans think of the decision to bring Chapman in? He is a disaster and can’t throw strikes.

Why would Boch take Sbortz and Gray out and let Chapman almost blow the game? Unreal.

I don’t understand why they continue to send him out expecting different results

If he's injured enough to be replaced on the roster, the Rangers can activate someone who wasn't previously on the roster, but they'd be unable to re-activate García, meaning his season would be over.

If the Rangers win tonight I don’t think this is going longer than 6. Arizona wins and it’s anyone’s series again

I get your concern, but you can't just keep putting the same 2 guys every night

It is astronomically amazing what the Rangers have accomplished with this bullpen

Sborz, Leclerc, repeat

Should have caught up to them with the Astros, but their inability to score runs at home regardless of opponent never allowed them to take advantage

Sborz is a ticking time bomb. How he has gotten through unscathed is a minor miracle.

Not having a Garcia update by now is a little worrying.

If D-Backs win tonight, I would expect Eovaldi to pitch in Game 6, but if Rangers win tonight they will want to give everything to end the series in Game 5, including Eovaldi.
