Or the call on Kershaws 1-1 pitch that should have made it 1-2 but instead put him behind with the bases loaded

I just have to give respect to the Dodgers bullpen (frick you Blake Treinen) They came through like a mother! Will Klein just lived his dream! Holy shite that was a stress fest.

should use it as a lesson learned and walk ohtani the rest of the way

Decent strategy, but terrible for the sport

not to take anything away from Klein, but they didn't have to face 4 starters after the 10th inning I think because Springer got hurt and they replaced 4 different guys with pinch runners.

By the last 7-8 innings, NOT including Springer the Blue Jays had swapped these batting averages:

.333 -> .186
.429 -> .172
.273 -> .000
.318 -> .133

Those guys totalled 15 at bats. 1 hit, 1 walk, 5 Ks.

John Schneider completely blew the game by pitching to Ohtani in the 7th, and then just taking out his best players every time one of them got on base in extra innings.

You could see it on his face when Freeman rounded the bases. He knew he had made some TERRIBLE decisions. Also...had either one of these teams played station to station baseball, it would have been over in 9.

i don't even think the Blue Jays needed to do anything other than NOT taking out 4 better hitters. They were getting guys on base regularly until he started taking them out for pinch runners. It was like he did it once it and when it didn't work, he just doubled down to keep doing it.

I think it should be allowed to pinch run for your catcher and still keep them in the game. Those guys take a beating with their position and should be allowed the luxury of a break

I turned it on in the 9th, watched for three fricking hours just to fall asleep in the top of the 18th. So now I feel like absolute shite at work, and I didn't even get to see the ending.

That said, it was obvious in extra innings that unless someone on Toronto got a solo homer run, that the dodgers were gonna win it. All those subs killed Toronto's hitting.
