Lot of hype for a player who won't even play next year and who most likely won't even be the player he was pre-injury once he gets back.

Correct. He’ll be 32 when he returns from the torn Achilles. At best, he’ll probably be 85-90% of what he was. And if he’s lucky and that’s the case, it’ll be short lived with him creeping deeper into his 30’s.

Well yes. When a top 3 player in the league might change teams there is going to be a lot of hype around him.

When KD returns, he'll be 32 years old coming off a devastating injury. I don't think he'll be nearly as productive.
