Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge is seriously considering his future with the franchise and could make a decision to step down, sources tell ESPN.

Guess someone has to be the scapegoat

Danny screwed the pooch. That team was set to compete for titles for years a half decade ago but they Never came close.

The team is handcuffed by Kemba for the next two years. Doesn’t help that all of the recent draft picks have been total busts.

The Celtics won’t be a serious contender until he is gone and they can’t start adding good pieces around Brown and Tatum.

Crazy where the Celtics and Nets are comparatively given that awful trade.

At one point they were a bunch of scrappy players with a lot of picks, those picks turned into two solid stars in Tatum and Brown but nothing else has worked

They need to find another OKC type team that will help them shed Kemba’s salary like the 76ers did. Other than that they could look to move Smart, but i’m not sure he’d bring back much.

If they want to get real ballsy, you see what Brown can get you.

Years ago when the Nets traded away everything they had for nothing in return from the Celtics, who would've thought it would be the Nets to make it to the NBA finals first between the 2 teams.

They'll be alot better next year if only they could stay healthy. They seemed to be snake bitten this year for whatever reason. Robert Williams development will be a huge factor as well. At times, he has looked scary good.

They aren't on the level with Philly/Milwaukee/Brooklyn even if they are healthy

People were really saying last year they upgraded from Kyrie to Kemba.

As a guy who rooted for the Celtics when I used to seriously follow the NBA, allow me to say Ainge is as overrated as Doc Rivers. They’re both lucky the Timberwolves gifted Garnett to the Celtics.

Does that mean that Stevens is still going to coach? It sounds ambiguous.

ETA: Stevens is not going to be the coach anymore, per the twitter.

Nah he fleeced other teams but he's either missed or held his chips too tightly for a while now.
