@RossDellenger
During a live, on-going news conference, WMU president Russ Kavalhuna says he’s spoken recently and “quite a bit” to Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti and “learned a few things,” including that the “broadcast showed a different clock than what the (officials) reviewed.” [/[quote]quote]

Kavalhuna confirms that there is no appeal process for this matter, as expected. He says the players are experiencing "gut-wrenching pain."

He does say Petitti has "been a good partner and been very candid and open" about the review situation and the NBC clock specifically.

@RossDellenger
WMU coach Lance Taylor: "Ultimately the refs didn’t cost (us) this game. If we make the mistake of making an excuse, it allows us to get bitter rather than get better."

quote:

More from WMU president Russ Kavalhuna: "It is a discrepancy - what the viewing public see and the reviewing officials see. I used to be a federal prosecutor. I don’t discern anything unfair or untoward in this process."

I hate this shite. As if the refs don’t have a huge influence over any game. They should be held accountable just like players and coaches are.

I guess I get the point coaches are always trying to make, but it some situations these retard officials need to be called out

Broadcast said 0:00

Stadium said 0:00

Some mysterious clock we never knew about that turns out is actually the official game clock said 0:01

Those schools have to balance their budgets by being invited to Big Ten schools and getting beat. They aren’t going to risk that.

So there's a secret clock that no one can see or even knew about? Wow.

I've been watching college football for about 40 years now and I've never heard of a secret officials only clock but nobody else can see or is aware of and apparently they have total control over and that no one is allowed to see besides them.

Why don't we just all use that clock instead of all of these apparently decorative clocks we've accidentally been using for decades

It’s a mail-in clock

The replay official checking the secret divinely revealed clock stored in the hat only he's allowed to look in.

It’s like a Mafia-run business keeping two sets of books. And just as honest.

Broadcast clock should be irrelevant. If the stadium clock however showed 0.00, this is 100% home cooking.

Most embarrassing of all is Michigan fans storming the field after a victory over western fricking Michigan!

Classic Big 10 reason to celebrate

I don’t think it is a different clock, but a different video feed. Pregame they sync up the clock with all the video feeds. Somehow either NBC feed or Ref feed got unsynced by a few hundredths of a second.

There was no single angle showing the ball touch and stadium clock in the same frame. So both NBC and the refs relied on synchronization.

Is there video of #18 from WMU being out of bounds before he touches the ball? From this angle all we see is that his feet are not touching.

IF there's no evidence of him launching from out of bounds, there's no irrefutable evidence that he was out of bounds when he touched the ball.

Anybody know? Sorry if Germans....

the behind endzone view did show him out of bounds, but he doesn't touch it until ~a second after the clock hits 0:00
