I keep hearing Luck is staying. At first I said no way, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe he does stay.

Haven't watched a single Panther's game this season so I don't really know what their needs are. Their record says they need to just take the best available player and not worry about needs yet.

I'd say they take Luck if he comes out, if he doesn't then maybe Nate Solder? He's not a sexy pick but is probably the best O-lineman in the draft.

ETA: I don't know what the frick I was thinking this thread was about. I thought it was about the Browns in the draft for some reason. I'm literally braindead.

Depends on whether or not they're ready to accept Clausen as a bust. If they think he could be the future then they will either trade down (hard to trade out of a 1st pick) and/or get a lineman.

There is a lot to be determined with a potential NFL lockout coming. I do not believe that the lockout question will be determined before the draft happens. Some players who may have come out early may stay in school.

People keep saying this, but it's not right. It's whether or not they think Clausen can be great. Have you seen the NFL lately. You can't win championships without a GREAT QB, not just a servicable one. Clausen might wind up being a nice player, you can't pass on Luck.

If he stays he definitely shoots near the top of my list of dumbest people in America.

This

makes the most sense

however the collective bargaining agreement could be a game changer.

Ive always thought the first pick had more value in a trade to a team with a specific need as opposed to what it does for the team with the worst record

the Texans have never traded the #2 ,, thats one of my major gripes against them

Is Ben Roethislberger really that great of a QB? I can't imagine a lot of people saying Eli Manning is that great compared to NFL greats. Flacco, Ryan, Sanchez all aren't great and they'll have a shot this year
