Maybe Brady Anderson deserves the HOF for his Roided Out 50 HR year.

This is the most retarded argument ever if the goal is to discredit Barry Bonds in the early 90's.

Not really, I saw an article that estimated the PEDs added 10-20% to Bonds HR total. So let’s go even further and say 50%. He had 374 pre 98. So 388 after cut that in half (194) that’s 568 easily in the HOF.

No, it shows just how much difference Roids make.
Brady had 210 HR's and 50 came in his Roid year.

You can pretend Roids didn't make a huge difference all you want.
I guess Roids didn't help McGuire or Sosa either.
You're probably still glorifying that Roided Out HR chase

Roger Maris's family should have told both of them to F off.

You're not helping your case.

You had a stupid take because you weren't familiar with Barry Bonds' game when he was with the Pirates and his early Giants seasons.

Take the L and move on.

Pre-1998, which is when he started using the juice, these were Bonds' stats:

It's hilarious that you think you know when he started doing steroids

Because you were there and know the exact date Barry started sticking that needle in his arse

He who is without sin cast the first stone. He who is in the hall of fame that is without sin is an statistical imposibility. Therefore, under these divine rules, pete deserves a spot of hall of fame!

If steroids don't make a difference then why are they banned?
If steroids don't make a difference then why do they do them?

I'm done with you.
Go put on your Barry Bonds jammies, it's past your nap time.

We need Will Clark to weigh in on the Bonds debate. Ignore the steroids though, I’m on pins and needles waiting to hear Will’s opinion on if 762 HRs alone is enough to make him a hall of famer. Would also be curious to know if he thinks guys like Hank Aaron, Cy Young, Nolan Ryan deserve their spots in the hall

This is what’s known as anecdotal evidence Anderson was a decent player who had one monster year (btw did he just decide to stop after 96?) Bonds won 3 MVPs in 4 years, (really should have been 4)

Roger Maris hit 275 career HRs, 100 of those in just 2 seasons (1960 and 61). Now he obviously wasn’t using PEDs but does show sometimes players just have a couple of outlier seasons, Anderson never failed a drug test and has denied using and wasn’t implicated in any investigations iirc.

Pete finally admitted to his transgression. I would feel much better about him being admitted posthumously

Bonds is still acting like a narcissistic dolt and wont own up to anything.

100% Clark would say Bonds is a HoF’er. They were teammates before the juice for 2 seasons, and Barry was a monster then.

You should post less. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. He was a 3 time MVP pre roids LOL

Agreed with him (and Rose) being in the Hall...honestly I think all the 'alleged' steroid guys during the steroid era (and even the ones that were caught) should be in because they were also probably hitting against pitchers who were on stuff.

I still think that MLB knew that players were juicing and were ok with it so they could recapture the fans after the strike-shortened season. To think that Sosa and McGwire were on the straight and narrow in 97 and 98 is stupid.

I agree. I don't think anyone really believes that those 2 were natty. My thing is it's not like they (or Bonds) were the only ones. While steroids can give an advantage what about the players in the 70s who took speed to keep up with the grind of baseball.

I find it silly that the HOF sticks its nose up at certain things but not others. If Bonds can't get in then neither should ANY player during the 'juiced era'.
