He’s probably been asked if these were the issues by multiple people so decided to try and squash the rumors by definitively saying it’s not these things.
Which only makes more people think it is those things.

People would run to make guesses that those were the issues. Even with him saying those aren't the issues people are still doing so.
Dude has been overweight most of his life. Way more likely it is his type 2 that is catching him. But not as sensational.
