Why isn't Dayton receiving more hype as a national title contender?

Look at their roster. They have one of the best players in the country in DaRon Holmes II (I'd put him only behind Edey), possibly the best 3-point shooter in the country in Koby Brea, and they have capable guard play, which is crucial for a deep run. Enoch Cheeks has emerged recently, Javon Bennett looks to be back for the A-10 tournament, and Kobe Elvis looks to be back to his early season form. Even though none of them are as experienced as Crutcher was, that's a good rotation. This is the best mid-major team, and when they're firing on all cylinders as we've seen many times, they're a top 5 team in the nation.
This team should be talked about like the 2020 team. Sure DaRon's game may not be as aesthetically pleasing as Obi's, and he may have not run roughshod over the A-10 like Obi did, but this team should be evaluated on what their resume could've been, not what it actually is. They easily could've gone undefeated in the A-10, and they'd probably be in line for the final 1 seed had they done so. Their floor may be lower than the 2020 team's, but they actually have a similar ceiling, and March Madness runs are made by teams that reach their ceiling. When the brackets are revealed, I'll have them penciled in for the Final Four no matter the draw. I just hope they get the 1 seed-level media coverage they deserve.

Think so. I was just coming to post, “are we really doing this again?”

Oddly enough, I’m staying across from their arena right now (business trip)

Posing as the 3rd best team in the a-10

I just looked. It’s him. He’s got a post history full of crying about how bad they got screwed and would have been the best team ever etc etc.
Total fantasy land lol

Yet finished behind Loyola and Richmond in the A-10.
Weird, but impressive commitment to this ongoing Dayton troll though.

Don’t forget me having Kansas State as my 2nd CFB team.

Because the media is shoving Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and women’s basketball down our throats.

Angel Reese has earned the media attention, though.

I’m from East-side Dayton and will strip to the waist and fight anyone who slanders.

Because no one on this board knows who any of those guys are or gives af about Dayton athletics

Dayton should 100% be in the Big East!! They are a solid basketball program with a GREAT fan base and are a perfect fit. They are a private catholic school, so they check that box as well. There is a reason the First Four is held there every year. Would be natural rivals with Xavier and Butler. The Big East needs more competitive programs.

Anthony Grant has found his basketball niche in Dayton. He spent 6 years at the Capstone and was busy setting offensive basketball back into the ice age. When he left, BAMA fans were more confused than when he got here.

Maybe they can take DePaul’s spot

Why can't they treat us the same way, for that matter? I mean, we could have gone undefeated the entire season so far. We didn't, but, you know, we could have.
