People don't realize how lucky we are to have a guy like Scone in the primetime slot.

Go listen to Richard Condon for an hour and get back to me about shitty radio.

Cuz he is very Cowherd-ish with his "I'm right and everyone else is an idiot" schtick.

I actually enjoy his show but his arrogance is such a turn off at times.

A particular thing he does that bothers the frick out meis to follow up an answer that his interviewee is giving with telling them that he understood whatever obscure reference that they made and that it will go over like 75% of the audiences heads. Even if that reference had little to do with the overall point, he has to make sure the interviewee and the audience knows how smart he is.

This. I generally agree with most of his takes, and think he does a great job of preparation. I’ll also say that his Covid takes/rants on Cleo Fields, LaToya, and other Covid “chicken Little’s” have been spot on.

That said, his arrogance and over the top reactions to dumb shite is irritating. He is such a try hard when interviewing big name guests, and his bro schtick with guests and theriot where he tries to be funny is so cringy. I would listen to him a lot more if he just stuck to his usual takes and didn’t try so hard. I’ll tune into whiskey and wine and even the morning scone stuff at times and he’s usually pretty good on those. He is a lot more laid back and reasonable and doesn’t try too hard to be the arrogant arse who knows more than everyone else.

Fair assessment.
FWIW I miss hanny/otter at lunch, but can certainly understand that H&H is more appealing to the other 99%.

I do not dislike Scone, but don't care for his schtick and delivery. He usually has descent takes.

I somehow find humor in O's distrust in him. Last year, it always felt like scone would throw soft ball questions and pat on the back comments to try to get back in good graces

His contrarianism is annoying as is his fake laugh. However, I have grown to appreciate his takes on sports in the age of COVID-19.

Matt’s very professional when he’s on say Chuck Oliver’s show. Years ago he seemed more professional. I find his show can get silly acting now on occasions. I don’t think Matt is all that bad though particularly when he’s serious about a topic.

Truth. Matt is as good or better than most major market and even some national sports radio hosts.

The 104.5 line-up is pretty average. I don't understand how Ott and T-Bob keep their jobs.

I used to listen to the guy when I first moved to BR in 2013 when he wasn’t so full of himself and was actually great to listen to. Then he became an insufferable DB who comes across as always right and will go out of his way to let anyone know and thinks he’s more important than he reallly is. He comes across as the local version of SAS, Cowherd and Bayless rolled into one. I listen to OTB and HHH but listen to something else at 3.

He always thinks his "opinions" are informed and the callers opinions are all bogus. He's the ' I am the smartest guy" attitude . He acts very childish when somone calls him out about a mistake .

n short, because he’s a poor man’s Cowherd.

His entire schtick is to feign objectivity with a slight contrarian lean but in reality he is just hardheaded, ultimately not that knowledgeable, and ends up sounding like he’s talking down to the audience. If you agree with his opinions you love him, if you don’t he’s an insufferable arse.

This above is dead on!!!

Ever since he had that terrible show with Josh on the old channel he has been a guy who wants to be more important than he is. He has tried too hard to be Jim Rome at times and other times he is a Cowherd wanna be. He has always been a huge douche though. His arrogance and inability to have someone differ in opinions makes him unlikeable. I haven’t listened in several years and I’m surprised he is still around.

He needs to stop bringing his good friend Ryan Clark on the program.

He hit rock bottom when he blasted on about how the Devin White targeting call was correct. He spoke to the SEC offices and bought into their propaganda. Thought it was hit job to come tell us why he was ejected and why it was right.

Since then he’s improving but I’m still trying to get over that BS take.

Agreed. I used to listen to Cowherd when he was on ESPN radio. I hate that people are comparing Moscona to him. Moscona is nowhere near as bad or insufferable. Maybe I'm one that tends to agree with him a lot but I enjoy listening to Moscona. Cowherd can eat shite. No one is as bad as him.

He’s disliked, or at least not-preferred, for a whole host of reasons:
1. He rarely books interesting guests (unlike Off the Bench), and sticks to the same rotation roughly every week
2. He constantly talks over guests and shouts them down when they disagree with him
3. He consistently takes “hot takes” that are unpopular and smugly and aggressively shouts down anyone who disagrees
4. He’s an absolute douche to his producers on the air. Sometimes, it’s in good fun, but he seems to cross a line pretty regularly
5. He often defends unpopular decisions by referees, athletics administrators, league/conference officials, and politicians
6. He frequently endorses “woke” views and policies by universities, players, and leagues/conferences
7. People don’t like his constant simping for Catholic High
8. He has a very annoying fake laugh
9. He is absolutely shameless with the ad reads.

In all those ways, he reminds me of a less abrasive and obviously trolling version of Skip Bayless. With all that said, BR is absolutely blessed with local radio talent. The fact that Moscona isn’t far and away our best local sports guy is pretty incredible, tbh. He’s miles better than most of the local sports talk personalities in other similar markets.

I put him 4th behind Jacob Hester (the gold standard for analysis, humor, and story-telling. The Hanging With Flester shows were the best sports casts ever made), Jordy Colatta (far and away the best interviews, best guests, and still has some humor) and T-Bob Hebert (can be more cringy, but also funnier) for best sports personality in town, and right ahead of Charles Hannigriff (Hanny has better takes, but is so boring).
