re: Why do people suddenly hate the Chiefs so much? What did I miss?

My dislike for them starts and ends with Travis Kelce.
For anyone asking "Why?", it tells me they didn't watch last year's Super Bowl when he pushed a 65 Year Old Andy Reid.

Basically that there was less than a second difference between the two clocks, so they considered them to be synced.
But that is not the rule:
"It is a delay of the game if the ball is not put in play by a snap within 40 seconds after the start of the play clock."
There is no provision for tenths of a second.

Because the referees hand them games. Every critical play that changes the outcome of the game, the decision always goes their way or a mystery flag appears.

Crazy how it’s the teams with the best coaches this happens to. Makes you think

Pretend that Pat is MJ, because he is.
These QBs are hyped because the rules do favor them so I can't say he's even close to being as much of a performer as MJ.
But these rules favor ALL QBs.

It's really hard for most people to be this intellectually honest.

I like Andy Reid and what he's done in the NFL.
Tired of the Kelce bros. A lot of exhaustion with Taylor and Travis.
Mahomes was cool then people realized his wife and bro where douches.
We always cheer on the rise to success, but then we want to tear you down if you stay on top too long.

The personal foul/roughing calls against Houston last week were criminal.

All those goddam Jake from State Farm commercials. They can't even leave Andy Reid out of it.

The Chiefs are a great team. Why should they get an assist from the refs. It seems that most pivotal plays that are close calls go in their favor.
Ed Oliver being offsides on the fumble that was overturned.
The Bishop-Worthy INT/catch inside the 5
Kelce’s trash talk followed by a flop
The refs missing the first down spot not once, but twice.

It's Taylor Swift and Kelce
and then honestly if people hate one thing in football its teams that win. Especially if calls seem to go their way, but honestly I thought last night was officiated pretty well. The league just needs to throw a chip in the ball and be done with it

Fake PR Taylor Swift "relationship".
I dont particularly get the logic behind this thought....why would swift (a billionaire) fake a relationship for a year and a half. Maybe just maybe...she likes the dude and they enjoy supporting each other.

Easy. It’s the bias they receive. It goes against what we all consider to be competition.
Yea I don't think people actually hate the Chiefs. It's that they believe they are playing by a different rulebook than the rest of the league.
Huge controversial calls have gone their way the last two weeks.
Their right tackle Taylor is moving before almost every single snap for false starts and he is never up on the line. You could literally call him for a false start on 8 plays in a row and back them up 40 yards. It is evident

CUZ THEY'RE FAKE & GAY
Posted on 1/27/25 at 3:23 pm to theunknownknight
To be honest, if you remove Kelce and Taylor Swift and keep everyone and everything else in place, they’re probably one of the more likeable dynasties in recent memory.
Those two are so bad it brings them down significantly.

Any team that has any sort of sustained success starts to receive unwarranted hate. Then you have the sustained success of KC, and the hate is off the charts. They have now made it to the SB 5 of the past 6 years and are going for their 4th ring (3rd in a row). Anyone that is not a KC fan is developing a bit of a "tired of seeing them" bias; and for a lot of people that quickly turns to hate. Then people will start looking for reasons to justify their hatred.

Apparently they do. They wouldn't be going for a 3peat without it
