Why did Dolphins change their logo? And helmets?

Typically it’s simplified so it’s easier to print/reproduce on apparel. That’s was the reason FSU tweaked their logo.

No one appreciated the old uniforms until they were gone. Same with Browns and Tampa most recently.

I always liked the Dolphins logo, and weirdly always liked their color scheme with Green and Orange. The new logo looks like some clipart on MS Word. Not like the old logo was that complex that needed to be simplified much, they had simplified the old logo over the years already to be easy to reproduce. Was unnecessary to change the logo altogether. Was hoping after the Miami Miracle wearing the throwbacks that they'd be tempted to go back to them full time 
Tampa however I never really liked much, the Jolly Roger on the pewter helmets look better than the old one, was a good change imo.

With modern printing technology you don't need a simplified logo to make it easier to mass produce. Once you hit a certain volume using the best equipment and all the colors isn't much more than running single color simple designs.

I was referencing the 2000's uniforms vs the 2012 uniforms with the digital style numbers.

Our modern technology sucks so let’s dumb everything down.
Crazy apparel made it work for decades. Some marketing guy has to justify his existence so they make up some BS excuse and get rid of a classic logo.

I prefer the old dolphins logo and uniforms, however I feel like they only tweaked them, they didn’t change it drastically. So I’ll allow it.

They've grown on me. Hated them at first but after the tweak in 2018 to remove the navy outlining I think they got a little better.
I wish we'd wear the throwbacks more though. And wouldn't mind an orange one mixed in but would need to adjust the color rush one from 2016.

My only slight criticism of the old logo is the dolphin wore a helmet that wasn't a dolphins helmet. I want the infinite regression of the dolphin wearing a helmet with the logo of the dolphin wearing the logo and so on.
