To inflate their own legacies.

Can you really not understand that. They had NO REASON to leave the teams they were on...

Are you trying to compare Chicago, Boston, and LA to Toronto and Cleveland

Take what you're saying to it's logical extreme. If ALL one should care about it winning why did the greats even bother coming up into the NBA? They could have won 100% in a youth basketball league.

Winning trumps ALL context. Who needs the NBA?? Let's beat 10 year olds!

That's one implication of his logic. Another one is that a player like Kobe should refuse to accept it when the Lakers bring in Pau, Howard, or Nash. After all, he should want to do it on his own without the assistance of other hall of fame players

Anything started or commented in by unknown has about a 99.9% chance of going full retard

And Dwight Howard is a bitch for going to LA and not Cleveland or Toronto. There is still hope. He can redeem himself by not signing a max deal with LA at the end of the season.

I'm imagining the Lakers circa 2008 or 2009 when they won back to back titles.

I'm imagining some crazy, totally impossible scenario where the Lakers could have added Chris Paul in a trade, while still keeping Kobe/Gasol/Bynum.

Now I'm imagining Kobe storming into Buss's office and just railling and throwing things and yelling at Buss telling him, "What have you done? Why did you send them Artest for Paul, when you could have gave them Gasol AND Bynum? You've gone and made it too easy for us to win, what were you thinking? Now what are we going to do?"

Ahhh, good times.
