And Jordan would have stuck around on Chicago had they never gotten Pippen? Players have no control over who the front office signs or drafts, so players are meant to just stay on teams, no matter how crappy their teammates are?
Wasn't Kobe asking for a trade also between the Shaq and Gasol/Bynum eras? It's easy to fall onto a team that has the most dominant center in modern NBA on it

This doesn't make any sense.
So, are you saying that you should win championships REGARDLESS if there are other HOF'ers on your team or not?
Why do the players have to take so much responsibility for what type of team they play for? What about the coaches and the front office?

why did all the old greats come out against the miami 3 when they teamed up?

Take what you're saying to it's logical extreme. If ALL one should care about it winning why did the greats even bother coming up into the NBA? They could have won 100% in a youth basketball league.
