Why was he playing so shallow when it was just the tying run on 2nd?

That’s what I was thinking.
I guess he was shallow to keep the run from 2nd scoring on a base hit.

who was the retard, Blue Jays player who started this collapse in the 9th by swinging at the first pitch for the easy pop up?

the Blue Jays absolutely deserve to lose tomorrow after this epic failure.

such dumb logic. tomorrow is its own game.

runners at 2nd and 3rd with no one out ... dumbfrick comes up and idiotically swings at a bad first pitch for an easy pop-out .... then that amateur base running mistake to end the game....

yeah i hated that.

I’d like to see a higher view of that. I get dude getting doubled up there on 2nd if LF is playing normal depth and shoestrings it. He’s trying to get a great jump and score the tying run on a single. But there was no way he was scoring on a single where did was playing. Or wound up playing. Did he start at normal depth and then sprint up without him noticing? Wild.

Idk, I think that it still would’ve been a double unless CF badly misplays the bounce off the wall. One run would’ve scored, but it doesn’t change much since the tying run would still be on 2nd.m

If it bounces off the wall then yeah, it’s a double, but if it hit the bottom and just popped out… he’s probably getting to third. Maybe not, but either way, it was a shite break.

Ernie Clement who is hitting probably like .700 against first pitches this entire post season. He got a fastball he took a pass that’s his game

God what a professional that outfielder to not field that ball. Won the game by NOT making a play there.

Blue Jays had runners on base 8/9 innings, 8 hits and managed 1 run. They gave away some easy outs with guys on base too.

Dodgers win like 8-2 tomorrow.

That last play put crack in our veins and it will carry over to tomorrow.

Sorry Dodgers brethren, I defied the baseball gods and I come to you in in dishonor. I started the evening keeping up on the yahoo sports app. I knew to stay with that whilst the Boys in Blue were ahead. But I allowed myself to turn on the TV for the 9th. I promptly turned it off when Dave pulled Sasaki and the Baseball Gods were pleased. I Shalt not transgress again.

Bonus baseball is good, esp with the drama of a Game 7

FOX getting what they wanted times 100 with Ohtani pitching too

Dodgers have to be heavily favored in my mind. So many times the double dip happens.

Gotta feel for Jays fans with Wegner’s missed call, but shite like that has destiny written all over it, but it did give us 3 more games (9 extra innings in Game 3 and Games 6 and 7)
