Jordan couldn't defend Kobe. Kobe lit him for 39 points in a HALF in 98

Well, it's an opinion. How can a player be a consensus top 10 of all time player yet it's impossible to argue he is top 5? I can easily make the argument for him.

You can put him @ 5, but when you start to consider the people you're putting behind him, it gets laughable.

He was a great, great player. Being top 10-15 in the history of the game is no slouch. He just isn't in the top 5.

They (the lakers) were eliminated in 6 to the Celtics in 08. Lost the elimination game by a billion points. Also blew a 20+ lead in game 4 when superstar James Posey went Supersayian

Is Shaq not a better player than Kobe? We'll go one by one here.

Just pointing out facts, to be honest. It's pretty much factual that Wade's peak was statistically better than Kobe's.

So if you don't agree, it's not with me, you're disagreeing with the numbers.

I mean.. After MJ and LeBron I think you're pretty much splitting hairs between:
Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, Magic, Bird, Wilt, Russell, Kareem.

Unless there is some inherent bias to dislike a player it's pretty easy to argue any of those 8 guys anywhere from 3-10. You can throw in Hakeem and Oscar if you want but I don't see how their resumes can be argued at top 5 whereas all of the others can.

By the numbers, young T-Mac was probably the best non big in the NBA until injuries came about. I'm not argueing career TMac > Kobe. TMacs prime was something else.

No, it's not.

Not if you are judging it on their actual play, how much they produced and how efficiently did they do it. You can't make any argument for Kobe sniffing the top 5. Just like you thought he was concensus top 10, but he's nothing but.

He's consensus fringe top 10, basically.

What if I'm basing it on more than that?

I get it man. You like LeBron, so this is what you solely base it on. That's fine and you are entitled to your opinion.

The only real advantage Kobe has over Wade is 16k extra minutes.

What does Lebron have to do with spots 3-10?

Starting to feel like a troll...

Anything else you want to base it on would show up in the production/efficiency numbers, so you can't double count.
