So that's a 3 year average of 8.6 in MVP voting. Is there 5 players who had a better MVP voting average over those 3 years? Same with the other stats?
Kobe is 7th in PER during that stretch, behind Shaq, Duncan, Malone, Webber, Garnett, and McGrady.
Kobe is 8th in WS during that stretch, behind Shaq, Duncan, Malone, Payton, Garnett, Dirk, and David Robinson.
6th in WS/48, behind Shaq, Robinson, Duncan, Stockton, and Malone.
10th in VORP, behind Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Payton, Malone, Carter, McGrady, Webber, and Kidd.
11th in BPM, behind Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Webber, Malone, Carter, Payton, McGrady, Robinson, and Kidd.
Bottom line, Kobe is safely behind Shaq, Duncan, and Garnett, Chris Webber slides in @ #4, and McGrady and Kobe are 5/6.

It isn't, actually.

I am not sure there is a "best"
In no order some that I would nominate:
Shaq Kobe
Oscar Kareem
Stockton Malone
Jordan Pippen
West Elgin
I am not going to nominate the Warriors group as to me its always been 3 of them and KD made a 4th
The Celtics always had 3 guys also.
The 80's Lakers had 3 guys also.

That's fair argument. Thanks for the numbers.

Well, it's an opinion. How can a player be a consensus top 10 of all time player yet it's impossible to argue he is top 5? I can easily make the argument for him.

I think shaq/Kobe had the potential to be the greatest duo. Just from the versatility of having them both. You have a slasher/shooter in Kobe and you have the pure brute strength of Shaq.
I think that those early 2000s lakers could have been in some epic finals against the late 90s bulls.
No one on those Bulls could defend Shaq.

consensus top 10 of all time player
Between the Sports Illustrated, ESPN, CBS and Fox rankings, only one has him in the top 10... at #10. He's a long way off from consensus top 10.

Yea such an outlandish opinion that Kobe is top 5. Anyone with a semblance of a brain has him in their top 10. Top 5 is arguable.

Peak T-Mac > Kobe

Kobe went to 3 without Shaq and won 2

Lost in 2008. Won 2009 and 2010

To the Celtics. They went to 3 straight finals, Celtics (L), Magic (W), and Celtics again (W).

We lost to the Celtics right before the two peat.

Only the game 7 win over the Celtics...because I forgot to record the game and missed 3.5 quarters of it.

No debate, not enough to argue.
No sense in debating something that isn't logical.
