2000 Miami and maybe 2006 LSU are about the only differences I see

lololololololololololololol 2012 Bama with that offensive line, Eddie Lacy, TJ Yeldon, AJ McChestTat, and Amari Cooper would have MAULED the Ducks.

Not really

Find me another two loss national champion with both losses to unranked teams who lost their last regular season game. I’ll wait.

Florida beat LSU straight up in 2006.

Florida’s sole loss was to Auburn on the road. LSU also lost to Auburn on the road.

This one doesn’t make sense. Sure, LSU was hot to close the 2006 season, but Florida was the better team.

Basically this is rewarding Florida for losing to UGA. UGA was 3 going into SECCG plays #2 Bama, the loser of that is out while sits home? That’s BS.

Happened for Bama in 2017. They got rewarded for losing to Auburn.

They absolutely would have made the playoff if one had been in place back then.

There are 2 things going against USC :Iowa was 8-0 in the B1G so true Co- Champs with OSU and WSU had the same 10-2 record as USC and beat USC , that’s why they were in the Rose Bowl and USC was in the Orange. USC did have an incredible schedule but I think the committee goes with 11-1 co B1G champ Iowa

Hawaii was undefeated and had the greatest passing offense of all time at that point. This is demonstrably false.

You’re better than this. Quit trying to prop up Hawaii as a good team. They were way out of their league.

Why add qualifiers? Find me another 2-loss champion in the modern era. There isn’t one. If UGa wins in 2007, nothing changes.

LSU/Auburn in 2006 may be the worst one-sided officiating I’ve ever seen.

All of that is completely irrelevant its also funny how you keep ignoring the rest of LSU resume, like we beat 5 teams that finished ranked, including ACC Champ VT 48-7, or beat 7 teams that were ranked when we played them which btw UK was ranked when we played, but in the end it doesn't matter that no other NC had 2 losses, the National Title is for a given year, LSU had the best overall resume at the end of the regular season, beat the #1 team in the BCSCG and gets the trophy. But i get why UGA fans are jelly 1980 was a long time ago

absolutely its why i've always argued teams that don't at least win their division should not be in the playoff.

Had UGA won in 07 they would have had 2 losses to unranked teams.
2007 UGA lost to unranked Tennessee by 21 and unranked USCe.
LSU beat Tennessee with Matt Flynn out and RSFr Ryan Perrilloux starting at QB.

LSU made a bunch of self inflicted mistakes against us.

2006 LSU/AU game had more bad play calling by LSU than anything the refs did. I believe LSU had the ball in AU territory like 6 times and only came away with 3 points...... that’s a shame with the talent that team had...... but it was a badly reffed game on both sides.

Why do people act like LSU was the only 2 loss team that year? Whichever team you want to replace LSU with against Ohio State would’ve also had two losses.

It was probably the craziest year in CFB history. And give me a team that lost two games in triple overtime over a team that lost two games with one being a blowout.
