not really sure or all that crazy about any of those choices.

I guess I'd rather see Zeke win it since its always a QB who wins the award.

the top player(s) in college and pro are kind of similar this year IMO. Nobody is running away with it right now.

if the Saints weren't a middle of the road team with a below .500 record I think you could put Brees in the discussion. He's been picked off more than maybe you'd like at this point in the year I think but he is crushing it in all the other categories.

if you have Zeke in there then you should have Dak in there to be fair I think.

its a toss up between Carr and Ryan I think if you're looking hard at both of them. I think Carr gets the nod cause Oakland is having the better season but Ryan did win the head-to-head matchup earlier.

no disrespect to Brady but I think him winning again would be boring. Plus they went 3-1 without him.

1. Matt Ryan - best YPA, super elite passing stats across the board, #1 offense in football
2. Drew Brees - most passing TD's, yards, super elite passing stats across the board

Both of these QB's are having better seasons than Carr and Prescott. Brady missed four games. There is no way he can win MVP for a 16-game award.

Drew Brees dinked and dunked himself into leading the league in passing yards for 6 of the 10 seasons in New Orleans and TDs 5 times

Dinkin and dunkin his way to the most pass yards and TDs thus far at a 72% clip.

boom's luke mccown argument couldnt come from anyone else

The average yards in the air per pass attempt is not debatable. he has the most yards bc he throws the most passes. He has the highest completion % bc he throws the shortest passes (save for a couple rookies and your Alex smith types). Shorter passes are easier to complete. He is the third or 4th best qb of his generation depending on how Rodgers finishes his career but you gotta have a little perspective when you looking at these kinda things.

Drew Brees is the most valuable player to his team... Zeke is 2nd.

But, Drew plays for the Saints so he won't win it.

Explain how the saints could never win without Brees when they were highly competitive without Brees in their toughest game of the year last season. This is hilarious that so many state this as fact when the actual evidence (i.e. Game) without Brees showed that the team was pretty damn solid with him out.

the saints wouldn't win any games without Brees crowd speaks in such absolutes that one game suffices to blow the theory out the water. They would have you believe Nola can't even compete without Brees. The only evidence we have shows that is the furthest from the truth.

I only posted facts boomy

Another fact is Brees' offense is hanging 30 a game on opponents. dude said yards per air attempt

RE: Mccown - you dont know enough about football to know every QB's success is partially tied to their scheme. You're talking bout 1 game. like derek anderson can do what cam does cause he won a game, or matt flynn when he went ape that 1 game. act like u know

True, plus the Raiders have more takeaways on defense than either ATL or the Saints. That goes a long way in helping your team have a better record than others(obviously). Oakland at 9-2 gets Carr a lot of attention fair or unfair. You never know how the voters will brainstorm their picks. Oakland is +10 in turnover ratio (19 takeaways) yet the QB will soak up most of the attention.

The who dats act like no Brees means a automatic 1 or 2 win season. Seeing what mccown did against that panthers D, one game saving play by an all pro from a win over the super bowl participant on the road, leads me to believe that the saints are still a 5-6 win team with a mccown move the sticks dink and dunk kinda qb out there.

I never commented on points per game. Good for Brees. I said he was dink and dunk. He is. Hey dink and dunk can work look at the saints. But it doesn't mean he isn't dink and dunk bc he is putting up points.

Is this a real life answer?

So you're telling me that there is another person who could put up the numbers Brees has and win more games? All because of 1 game the Saints lost?

Lullz No one said they would win more games with a qb other than Brees. or put up better numbers. You who dats act like the team would win No games without Brees. The only game we have as actual evidence disagrees with that. Vehemently.

He is. I'm a big fan of his. Wish he wouldn't have gotten run off last year but I think HOU is in a better spot this year with Mike than they would've been with coach McHale.

Sure bubba dink and dunk is an abritrary term, you can use it how ya like

Drew Brees will go down statistically as the best deep ball QB of all time - deep ball TDs, deep ball completion %, deep ball yards. We are talking about 20+ yards downfield

He ain't the MVP but I can't stand for you to whiff on the analysis

Please show me where I said we'd win no games. All I said was he's the most valuable to his team.

The Saints have never gone winless, I think most people understand that.

Brees has MVP stats, but not the wins.

Unbiased:

Carr
Dak
Elliot
Brady
Ryan

And yet his YPA is still pedestrian. no further proof is needed that he makes his living on dink n dunk. He's the best deep passer yet his yards per pass is bottom of the league. ONLY way that happens is if he is throwin A LOT more short passes than damn near anyone else.
