That's what I'm saying

He's got half a gronk, minitron, James white, an injured Dion Lewis, a rookie WR, and 100 other white guys Blount has been impressive

Oline has been resurgent under Coach Scar (tGOAT), but it's still basically the same line as last year that got their arse ripped out all season.

Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Saints, and the Cardinals are a couple off the top of my head that are a cut above the pats talent wise on offense

If Brees can drag the Saints into the playoffs, he'll merit consideration.

Saints fans can't comprehend this. Plus their d is not the worst in the league. As of now it's a 3 man race Car, Zeke, Brady

Stafford deserves consideration.

There should be no mother fricking option other than Drew Brees. Get rid of him, I don't think they win in a game in 2-3 full seasons.

they almost won AT CAROLINA last year with no Brees. Super bowl participant Carolina. They would easily win a handful of games w McCown. They may even *gasp* commit to the run. Instead of chase records.

I'll never understand this argument. If you got rid of him, then you'd have his salary available to bring in a good QB, so no they wouldn't loss every game for 3 seasons. And the argument that if he gets injured they'd fall off a cliff hinges on your backup being terrible. Should the award go to the team with the worst depth behind their star players? Some teams have decent backups, that shouldn't be a point against the starter in the MVP race.

Brees is 6th in the NFL in Y/A while still leading the league in completion %.

So you're full of shite.

That means he throws shorter passes than lots of other qbs it's simple math.

THe argument is total crap bc in the only game that Brees missed recently they were very competitive on the road vs the best team in the conference that year. Yet they act like they could never win without Brees at home v the merely average teams to try to help their argument.

Ryan is 1st in the NFL in yards per attempt (by a huge margin) and 3rd in completion percentage. That's more impressive IMO.

Its definitely impressive. I'm not saying it should for sure go to Brees, I'm just saying Boomshockacocka is an idiot for saying Brees gets all his yards and % from short passes.

Its statistically unfounded and moronic.

Ryan's deep ball accuracy combined with Shanahan's playcalling has been incredible this year. Night and day difference from last year.

He gets more from short passes than the other elite qbs. Thats why his ypa is 6th but his completion % is first. He was fewer 0 yards per attempt passes than anyone. Yet his ypa isn't all that elite. That tells you that other qbs are gaining more yards on their completions.

No team the saints have played against this year has had a "big lead" on them that they 'prevent' all game long.

This dink and dunk you assume is so off base its hilarious, considering the fact Brees is one of the best at the intermediate and deep ball discredits you on that.

Saints are 20th in yards per completion.

Now try to explain how he's not making a living dinking and dunking.
