The year Rodgers won the MVP, he sat the last game and Matt Flynn set a Packers passing record. Rodgers still won.

MVP dont come from a .500 team

Mike Trout disagrees.

Only if Houston is 3 seed or better. So more like a .667 pace at worst.

And?? My post was In response to the guy who said the saints would never win a game without Brees. Whatever happened with Rodgers / Flynn has no impact on the saints.

I am a football and hoops guy I don't even follow MLB. I know MVP ain't coming from a .500 in team in NBA or NFL.

Brees won't win MVP but it is not his fault the Saints have the worst defense in the league.

He won't win it. And I'm not saying he should win it. But his performance certainly merits him being in the discussion.

And Brees lost at Carolina to a worse panthers team this year ...

Backup qb went off for 31-38 in a hostile environment he woulda moved the ball up n down the field without much resistance in the dome in that offense.

His stats are inflated bc of his teams bad Defense so you can't blame his d when they are the reason he puts up the numbers hat he does.

Maybe Matt Ryan

Isn't there a Saints board? Hate Matt Ryan over there. He's having an MVP caliber season and is even going to get Daddy's boy a few looks at HC. Which is laughable.

If the Saints win this week Brees will start entering the conversation.

Dude is having an incredible season.

Bc when teams have big leads they run the ball more. When your d can't give you a big lead well you end up throwing all game long. When other teams get the lead on you they play soft defense. Let you complete little 5 -6 yard passes til your heart is content. All the way down the field. IE the Brees specialty.
