Notre Dame would actually probably have a better schedule with all FBS teams and if a selection committee looked at it I could see them picking the Irish
LSU would get a lot of mileage out of beating an undefeated Bama and undefeated Florida and would win in the BCS poll

You think if UF has 2 loses or UGA has 2 loses and USC has 2 loses and possible 3rd that LSU computer number will be still as high
LSU will have 1 more win to add to the mix with the computers. It will be very close either way, but it doesnt matter because....
...humans make up 2/3 of the BCS. Humans will not have ND above us if we win out.

The only way the SEC champ gets left out is if the SEC champ has more losses than 2 or more teams.

12-1 SEC champion > 11-1 ND

LSU wins out and are sec champs both teams go 11-1 who goes to the title game ?
LSU.
LSU would be higher in the computer polls AND in the human polls after a ND loss.

If it plays out this way...
Notre Dame can have wins over 4 BCS con Champs which is big, and 3 of them away from South Bend
Miami (2nd in division)
USC (leads division now)
OU (potential Co Champ but needs help)
Michigan (leads division)
That is pretty strong résumé and computer number

its funny that people act like the entire media votes or that the handful of people that do vote are these mindless dolts that will be swayed by The Sports Reporters on ESPN going gaga over ND.
Last week people were sayinga ND player being on the cover of SI shows the media love fest of ND has started. Wonder if they noticed who was on the SI cover this week?

ND again, the 3rd best RB on the team made the cover with HB.

to answer the OPs question:
LSU
LSU

It should be ND they play a much tougher schedule.
No. Just no. This "Notre Dame's schedule is ridiculously tough" meme must stop. It's a very good schedule, but it's not as tough as people make it out to be. There's a lot of Big Ten and ACC teams on there and if you haven't noticed, those conferences are kid of terrible this year.
If LSU wins out, they will have beaten Alabama, Florida, USCe, State, and A&M. That's five top 25 teams, maybe three top 10 teams, and likely two top 5 teams. That's an amazing schedule. Notre Dame doesn't get in because Navy is better than Towson. Who cares?
Notre Dame will have played OU, USC, Stanford, Michigan, and BYU as their best 5 games. Yes, the bottom half of ND's schedule is tougher, but frankly, I don't care that Boston College is tougher than North Texas (though that can be disputed, BC is pretty awful). Both are traffic cones. You don't get brownie points for having better rent a wins. What matters is the upper echelon games, as those present the biggest chance for defeat.

Rocket, I'm disappointed.
