Always found this to be an interesting topic for us being an NFL/college state with no MLB team. For the most part growing up there was a lot of Braves and Cubs fans in this area. Astros have become more popular in this area lately, helps with bregman and them winning.

In any case, who's your favorite MLB team? How did it come to be that way?

Don’t have one. Just like I didn’t have an NBA team before New Orleans got a team.

Ken Griffey Jr was my favorite player growing up so I kinda root for the Mariners but probably couldn’t name but one player on their team.

Braves fan here. Wanted to be an Astros fan when the Killer B's were dominating, but those damn Bravos were always on TBS and I was a huge Andruw and Chipper Jones fan. I will say I hate pulling for any Atlanta team. Hurts my soul.

i vaguely remembered watching the braves a bit as a kid and sometimes cubs cause of wgn or whatever it was. As i got older, i found it disgusting to root for an atlanta team so that quickly ended. When i got older, i rooted for boston for a while really cause of my dislike for yankees. I was a kings fan back in the day when they had the bibby, webber crew. A lot of that was also from my dislike of lakers.

Braves obviously because WTBS. Red Sox second favorite. Of course Braves used to be in Boston also waaaaaaaay back even before Milwaukee Lol

Same shite when the jazz left NOLA
dad was a Celtic as was I. We had no team here. Always been a Celtics fan since early 80s. The jazz bailed in late 70s to Utah.

It's the Astros. Houston was my default setting for sports where we didn't have our own team because of geographical proximity and family ties. I was a Rockets fan until we got a team and then had a few years of transition where I rooted for both until all the Rockets players I used to cheer for moved on and I was fully engrossed with the Pelicans (Hornets) by '05.

When I was younger, I liked both the Braves and Yankees. Mark Wholers was my favorite pitcher growing up. I liked the Yankees more for their history. Then Jim Leyritz destroyed Mark's career (and that slider) by blasting that homerun in 96. I was 8 years old and never looked back.
