Saints from 1967 when they played in the Sugar Bowl. Billy Kilmer looked like he was about 5'10" 230 with a 38" waist. Grew up in Louisiana and Mississippi. Both states pulled for the Saints in the 60's and 70's. Not sure who Mississippi pulls for now.

As a Saints fan, you might have had teams you pulled for in the playoffs. I was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan in the 60's, before the AFL teams joined the NFL. They had a bunch of guys from the SWAC back then. Len Dawson to Otis Taylor was a thing of beauty. Was a Charger fans when they had Dan Fouts, Charlie Joiner, Kellen Winslow, John Jefferson, etc. Loved watching those guys play.

Lived in Dallas from 1983 to 2011 and pulled for the Cowboys, except for when they played the Saints. It was good for business.

I didn’t post in the OP.

I grew up a Panthers fan, pre-Delhomme days and all. Had the helmet and football set growing up too. In college I was fairly impressionable with certain friends and a buddy said he was a Falcons fan because everyone else were Panthers fans.

That was less my issue and I more so wanted my NFL team to be consistent with MLB which is Braves. Many many years later I realize how dumb this was and want to follow Carolina again. Ultimately I’ll never have an affinity like I do with my school, but it is fun having an NFL team.

Born and raised in GA, Dad was a fan from day 1. That’s pretty much it.

Ravens.

Loved their style and defense when I was a kid. Also I started pulling for them because Jarret Johnson who played at Alabama played for them. The rest is history.

Packers

Grew up 25 minutes from the stadium. A handful of players have hunted deer on my family’s land. I’ve taken a few of those guys open water fishing and ice fishing. Still keep in contact with some of the guys. I worked as a security guard at Lambeau in the 90’s.

Grew up a Bills fan since the late 80’s. Unlike a lot of Bills fans around here, I’m not from New York or have any ties there. Born and raised in South Louisiana. My older brother was a Dolphins fan, and his most hated team was Buffalo. So being the pesky younger brother, I started cheering for the Bills to just aggravate. But the Bills just stuck with me. Going up to Buffalo for the second time in a couple weeks for a game.

Whatever team Joe Burrow plays for. I moved to Cincy when he was drafted by the Bengals and I am fully prepared to move at a moment's notice if and when he moves on from Cincinnati.

Redkins/Commanders

It was my dad and uncle’s team when I was growing up. Lot of great memories watching them growing up. I was 10 years old for that 91 Super Bowl run and really got into it then.

I grew up in a place where the NFL was not really that big so I didn’t really have an NFL team growing up but my now wife is from Chicago and she and her whole family are big Bears fans so I sort of became a Bears fan over the years being around her and her family. When I tell you it absolutely sucks, it is a truly miserable experience. They are right up there with the most incompetent franchises in the NFL. Only thing that separates them from the Browns or the Jags is it’s a bigger media market. In terms of incompetence and idiocy they are right there with those teams.

Dallas. See the name, checks out. Grew up loving old westerns and them being the Cowboys is how I picked as a kid.

Cowboys. My dad was a fan (he was from Forth Worth), and they were really good when I was in my formative years.

When I was a kid there wasn't much coverage of the Brewers in Green Bay and my friends and family weren't really Brewers fans. I lived in Chicago almost as long as I lived in the state of WI (20 years) and spent most of that time in and around Wrigleyville.

I don't dislike the Brewers, they have the best tailgating in baseball and the stadium and people are great. I'll cheer for them if/when the Cubs are out of it.
