Same. I never really had any one team that I followed. I would just watch what was on TV and follow the sport watching Baseball Tonight and Sportcenter. I always just sort of rooted for the underdog. Once Montreal moved to DC I started following them out of curiosity. Started enjoying watching Ryan Zimmerman play the game and just became a fan.

I claim dual citizenship as a Braves and Cubs fan, due to them being on TV all the time growing up. PIP on MLB.tv is a wonderful thing.

Posted last year...I suck, but will admit my faults..

Nats - grew up in VA, but for longest time no local team to cheer.

Other teams I cheer (follow)

Twins - growing up, my family explained how the Nats moved to Minnesota. Plus spent some time in Naples, Fl which was close to the Twins spring training. Got to see Kirby, Gaetti, Hrbek, etc back when they were trying to break into the bigs

White Sox - lived in Chicago for a couple years and went to many a Cubs and White Sox games. The White Sox fans were loyal and such a different vibe there.

Cubs - wife's team. I am a season ticket holder, and enjoy going to Wrigley.

Astros - hometown had a Stros single A team back in the day. Bruce Bochy, JR Richard, Cesar Cedeno, etc

Padres - used to a lot of work in San Diego, and now love Petco. Plus listening to Dick Enberg call games was so great.

Brewers - very close friend was neighbors with Sal Bando...so went to quite a few Brewers games in the 90s. Plus Miller Park is a great time, and old County Stadium...so terrible it was fun.

I know, TL/DR....I LOVE BASEBALL or am a baseball whore...bring on the season

I was a Braves fan as a kid. Quit following regularly around 99. Once chipper retired quit following at all.

I went to a game in Queens and loved my experience at the game and the players... so after about a decade off from being a baseball fan I’m on the Mets

Didn’t realize we had this much diversity on the board. If I get bored enough I might total up the numbers and see what the breakdown looks like.

Every year we do these threads but once the season starts to have very few who actively participate in baseball threads.
Cubs, Braves, and Astros have their own daily threads. Rangers, Yankees, and Cards at one time had enough fans to keep a daily thread.

The Braves, I have really enjoyed watching them shite the bed in every single postseason series since the new millennium. I was to young to really remember the 90's teams except towards the end, I was 3 when they won the series.

Well it was the Red Sox, but due to recent events I need a cooling down period. I'll probably be a full blown Rockies or Cubs fan for half the year and then slide back.

I'm a free agent fan though, so any solid arguments for teams not called the Yankees, Dodgers, Rays, or Padres (Manny Machado is a gigantic piece of filth) and I'll listen.

And yes, I know I'm butt hurt, and it's fine to point that out.
