In all seriousness, Blackledge, Collinsworth, and Danielson are all fantastic for football.

Also throw in Jay Bilas, Hubie Brown, and Chris Webber as well.

I love Razor. His vocabulary is mastodonic.

Some of the Stars feeds I watch do not go away during commercials and he cracks some funny stuff "off air" while talking to the production people. He likes to sing too.

Urban Meyer was fantastic in the booth in his year off coaching, but as for guys now:

NCAAF: Danielson, Blackledge, Joel Klatt (even though he likes to troll the shite out of people on Twitter) are all good, but Mike Mayock is the best. Too bad he was stuck on ND broadcasts.

NBA: JVG

NFL: Billick is an arrogant douche but he is great at breaking down Xs and Os. Don't think he's still in the booth though. Gruden is too rah rah for my taste but if you can filter that out he's very good at breaking down plays/strategy too.

NCAAB: Bilas

It's hard to go overall because different sports needs to be called different ways. So I'd go
CFB: Blackledge
NFL: Collinsworth
NBA: Hubie/Doug Collins tie (Collins should do more games imo)
CBB: Raftery
MLB: Smoltz

Hubie Brown

No. Just, no.

The guy has so much knowledge about the game. He knows so much. BUT, he never shuts up. I sometimes have to mute the tv after the first quarter.

Collinsworth is good at his job, but his delivery is incredibly smug IMO. Reminds me of Joe Buck for PBP - the transcript reads better than they sound for an entire broadcast.

I kind of like that about Collinsworth.

Joe Buck and Aikman just need to separate, imo. They sound too much alike.

I find it amazing they can get that much ego inside of the booth.

On the other hand, I could listen to Danielson or Blackledge all day.

Seems like a few people in this thread aren't too familiar with who the color commentator is.

Sick of Danielson and Blacledge. Mediocre and now overexposed. Several At ESPN are better than those two

Blackledge is fantastic

Danielson has his moments, but is annoying sometimes.

Collinsworth has slipped recently, not as good as he was say 2-3yrs ago.

All are good but Schilling is probably the best analyst working, dude is BY FAR the best pitching analyst on games and he knows what it takes to win big. Also has enough balls to call players and managers out and is honest.

Some hate him because of his antics, but during a broadcast he is as good as they get.
