If Ant is Jordan….and you always hear other comparisons but never really heard one for Luka. He deserves it. Bird? His shot kinda reminds me of it and the difficulty of them

Luka is going to be Top 3 of All Time when he hangs it up.

As for comparisons, there is none. His game is unique. He’s similar to Lebron in that he can stuff a stat sheet, but he’s a better pure scorer. He’s also a much better rebounder, and passer than Jordan ever was. He will be Top 3 of All Time.

He’s incredible but I don’t see him physically holding up long term to achieve this.

Ant was looking like Penny Hardaway today.

Luka is 1 of 1. players from now on will be compared to him...nobody in the past plays like him

Anthony Edwards is equal to MJ’s shoelaces right now. And I’m being generous.

I mean not really. He’s a less athletic Lebron and started his career with a better mid range/3pointer.

Almost zero chance he becomes a top 3 player of all time

He doesn’t really have one. Closest one is probably older Lebron when lebron ump’d his assists and become functionally a full time PG while still being the dominant scorer for his team

Otherwise take the general game of Jason Kidd, add Dame’s outside shot, and make that player as big as Magic.

Guy is just incredible. Higher career ppg and apg than Lebron, Lebron’s career high in rebounds is lower than Luka’s career average.

As a diehard Mavs fan and in general defender of Luka...this is how I feel about it. I think he's a top 5 TALENT of all time because of those things listed above, but won't have the resume to say he's one of the 5 GOATs. He isn't an athletic freak like Kobe/Jordan/Lebron. I don't think he will hold up to playing long seasons and long playoff runs deep into his career.

A less athletic, but better scoring Larry Legend.

You just made everybody's dream 2K character

Only difference is the 2K character has a 90 speed/athleticism vs Luka's 70

The Big-0, Oscar Robertson - played all over the court, ran the offense but could score in a lot of different ways and carried his team with cool composure. They didn't have a 3 point line back then but he was regarded as a deep threat who could also drive so that opened up a lot of assists.

I am a huge Bird fan, so take this with a grain of salt

I honestly believe Bird could have easily scored more if he wanted to but the Celtics didnt need him to score more. Bird played the most with two Top 75 players in McHale and Parrish.

He also played with three other Top 75 players, Tiny Archibald as a Celtics starter and Walton and Maravich as bench guys. That group doesnt include HOF PG Dennis Johnson either.

Luka scores so much because he has to do so, Bird wasnt under the same situation with the Celtics.

Luka has Barkley's body and strength, Paul Peirce's body control and craftiness, Harden's stepback, and Magic's vision.

Basically his comp is a create a player on 2K.

Bird made them better.

The point of basketball is to win.

A week after McHale set the Celtics single-game scoring record with 56 points. Bird went out a few days later and reset it with 60 points...I think just to prove a point.
