Any competent NON-Saints fan will say Rodgers. This argument is stupid. Aaron Rodgers is better at the QB position. Thread/

I'm as big of a Brees fan as any on Saints Rant, but no doubt I take Rodgers and it isn't close.

Preference being that he is better.

AR. But it’s close. His mobility tips the scales in his favor

It's close, but I would take Brees because of his decision making, the guy sees things that others do not see and that is saying something for a 6 foot QB he knows how to check off faster than any other QB and his release is fast. Rodgers gives you the scrambling edge, but Brees while not a scrambler can scramble when he needs to, he just doesn't need to

“And it’s not even close!!!”

Brees has (4) 5k+ passing seasons to Rodgers.... zero

Led the league passing yards (7) times to Rodgers.. zero

Led the league in comp % (4) times to Rodgers... zero

Led the league in TDs (4) times to Rodgers... one

Someone said GB mismanaged the team during Rodgers tenure.. the saint FO had the ultimate mismanagement during Brees’ tenure with the team, behind terrible draft picks, bad signings and dead money. frick outta here with that shite

Why was this downvoted?

Are we now just downvoting stats in hopes that it will make the stat go away?

Look at how many passing attempts Brees has on a yearly basis and you will find your answer as to why Rodgers has zero. Rodgers 650+ passing attempt seasons 0, Brees 7.

So no shite Brees will have more yards when he is consistently throwing over 600 times per season

Yards per completion

Brees

11.3

Rodgers

12.1

Yards per attempt

Brees

7.6

Rodgers

7.9

So your premise is correct

So the guy w all these passing attempts is also the all time leader in comp% , must be good

We can also throw in durability considering Rodgers has missed what equates to a full 16 game season due to injury

Brees : 1 game w the saints

Gotta be out there to impact a game

With the o-lines Rodgers has had and the scrambling he does, I'm thrilled he's only missed 16 games

Pound for pound Brees is the best QB of all time.

I agree. I was more stating the flaw that is yards/season when one QB throws a lot more passes than the other (546/season for Brees, 376/season for Rodgers) . With both having similar comp %, Y/A, and Y/C, total yards is a poor comparison.

If only Rodgers had a better O-line This isn't an excuse, but more of a sad stat that Brees has played 100 more games than Rodgers, yet has only been sacked 15 more times

I somewhat agree, but volume is a tricky measure

Are numbers more impressive if a person is able to sustain them with more volume?

A guy like Steph Curry shooting 44% on 800 3PA vs a guy who shoots 45% on less than half of the attempts, for instance

Not apples to apples but the point stands

Rogers is more athletic and clutch in the last 2 minutes
brees is a better mind of the game
