Given the rules these days I’d think these could be vulnerable if you get a WR who plays as long as he did and spent that entire time with good to elite QBs.
That’s a pretty massive and pretty much impossible “if”. No WR is playing as long as he did. Hell this man put up 1200 yards at age 40.

Louisiana native and former MLB pitcher, Chuck Finley's 4 strikeouts in 1 inning done 3 times different times.

Emmitt Smith's NFL all-time leading rushing record with the way running backs are used today, it may never be close to being broken.

Back in olden times, but considered in the modern era, Jack Taylor of the Cubs pitched 187 consecutive complete games. I feel like this record is likely safe

Wayne Gretzky career points.
2857...second place is Jaromir Jagr with 1921.
Gretzky had more assists in his career, 1963, than Jagr did points.
This is just regular season by the way.

Between the rules and the dietary strides we’ve made since Rice’s time, I don’t see how you can be so confident

That still doesn’t point to any player wanting to play as long as him. Plus his work ethic was second to none.
And you keep mentioning rules changes. But they don’t really effect individual receiving seasons. There are the same number of 1K yard receivers over each of the last few years as there were during the 90s. Teams are throwing the ball more, but they’re also distributing the ball more now then they did before.

Jack’s major wins and total numbers in regards to majors.
But only because these fields are INFINITELY better than what he faced.
The guy might be the GOAT and played during an incredibly watered down field.
That's how you get 18
Can't agree with this. In addition to his 18 wins, Jack finished second 18 times (!!!) and third 9 times. Those 27 Majors where he came up just short were won by, among others, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino. Tom Watson, Billy Casper, Hale Irwin, Raymond Floyd, Johnny Miller, Seve Ballesteros, etc.
That is an impressive list of HOF golfers...hardly "watered down".
By comparison Tiger finished second 6 times and third 4 times. Of those 10 near misses, only twice are the winners worth mentioning - Ernie Els and Phil M - maybe 3 if you want to include Angel Cabrera.

Spahn is really underrated player. He started his career at 21 years old, but didn't win his first game until he was 25 years. He missed those 4 years fighting Nazis, earned a Purple Heart at the Battle of the Bulge, came back and was a 17 time all-star.
These types of things were possible because sports sucked.
