How deep of a playoff run offsets a Michigan loss?
Rivalries as you knew them in college football are dead… thank the playoff expanding
It will be a hard adjustment to a world where beating your rival or losing to them is an afterthought if you have a good enough season

I get the Michigan rivalry and everything but college football has changed for good. If he's in the semi finals of a 12 team playoff after winning 2 playoff games, sorry but you drop the fact that he lost to Michigan.
I say that and I've been very critical of his just for men dyed beard arse.

It'll be similar to Packers/Bears.
Winning is always good, but it doesn't make or break the season.

Think he's fine for now but once you have a sizable group of fans wanting you fired, there's never been a level of success that can make it go away completely. Honestly think had he lost the Indiana game along with the Michigan debacle he'd of been canned. Team is just too good to accept that. His overall record is insane. Don't know if a Tennessee loss would have got him fired but really think Indiana would have.

And if they win the title they won’t give a frick about losing to Michigan really. Sure, they hate that loss, but a title matters more, as it should.
Ohio State fans will care more than you think. That matchup means way more to the fanbases than anyone outside of the rivalry can comprehend.

Yeah man, no one else has rivalries too.

He’s the coach of OSU for 20 years and is going to win 5 national titles or more
And lose to Michigan at least another 20 times

Ohio State fans that want Day fired because he struggles against Michigan are absolutely retarded

If they lose to Indiana they’re probably pissed, more focused, and beat Michigan…
And a loss to Tennesseee would have been more disappointing than anything since it was the CFP

Outside of maybe the Iron Bowl, none as intense as this one.

His job is safe given their past two games, but a championship is the only way to offset the Michigan loss. He’s lucky it happened during the move to 12 teams. He probably would have been canned if it was still a 4 team playoff.
The past 2 games were a good example of why Day frustrates a portion of the fanbase. No one is expecting perfection, but the team we got the last 2 weeks is exactly what this team is capable of. They are peaking at the perfect time but would have preferred they didn’t absolutely shite the bed against Michigan.

OSU would have been the 4 seed.
They had Texas and PSU ahead of OSU because they played for conference titles.
It would have been Oregon/UGA/ND and OSU as the 4 seed. OSU had a far better resume than Texas and PSU

O no! Not laughter! I would imagine that would cause them to give the national championship trophy back.

OSU just played 2 of the most dominating games back to back of any team ever against top 10 teams
You can get away with this comment on OSU rivals site where people don’t know ball but you’re going to get called out on that stupidity here.

OSU fans have been doing this for decades. I assume other schools do as well
Ryan Hamby dropped a TD against Texas in 2005. he got death threats for years
