I know that’s why I say the play never happened. But people act like it was some huge turnover in the game.

They’re the media’s home team. They have like 27 actual fans but the media acts like they’re the New York Yankees of college football.

the game was over when Teague picked the ball off and ran it bACK.
27-6
Syracuse had run the ball well against Miami using trap plays and that's how Alabama mustered any offense at all that night.
Jay Barker was absolutely horrible and it didn't matter.
Alabama struggled with Florida in the SEC championship b/c they had fewer amount of days to prepare but they went off on Miami having more time to prepare IMO.

It was absolutely a meaningful play, whether it was officially noted, or not. It was the third quarter and the touchdown that would have occurred at the very least would have given Miami some momentum to believe they could mount a comeback.
That play broke Miami’s last bit of will. Fitting player to get run down and stripped, since Lamar Thomas talked all kinds of shite before the game that he never backed up.

Not only is the fight completely insane, Lamar Thomas's "commentary" at 4:35 of this video got him fired.

That was a long time ago.
They'd celebrate EVERY first down like they just won the game.
CFB was fun back then.

Wasn’t it Teague that said postgame, “Dey mouths were writing checks dey butts couldn’t cash.”
And yes, it was Thomas who talked the most crap.
