What’s the biggest factor for the Tim Tebow hate?

Is he just the latest white person it’s trendy to be outraged about? Does it have more to do with how open he is about his faith? Is the media that scared he might succeed and give a small morale boost for conservative fans?
Plenty of NFL players have returned to the league after being out for some time and revitalized their careers. Some went to prison, others had major allegations circulating around them, and the outrage was minimal.
The Jags were 1-15 and It’s not like Urban signed him to a lifetime contract. Why not take a flyer on whoever you think could potentially help the team?

Terrible people who are racist against whites have all the media’s love and adoration right now. Tebow is just a white Christian who people genuinely like and respect. He’s their enemy.

People are insecure .. especially about their faith.

He’s openly Christian and white.

People respond to authenticity, and he’s not.
Then there is resentment because of how the media shoved him down our throats. That’s not his fault m, but you asked for factors.

I don’t know what media you are reading/watching but most are very openly against Tebow

Tell us all about the real Tim Tebow.

Maybe it's because he was objectively bad in the NFL and yet he received a ton of hype.
This is going to be tough to hear, but the white christian male isn't as persecuted as you think.

When he was still trying to play QB it was an absolute media circus around him. His short time with the jets was fricking terrible.

He loves himself too much

I’m not saying he was good, hence why he flamed out of the league, but he wasn’t some horrible scrub. He did start and win a playoff game. That’s more than most players in the league have accomplished

Whether it’s perception or not, a lot of people feel that his righteousness isn’t all that genuine & that he puts on for television.

Tebow has been in the spotlight for 15 years now. The first 75% of that had been beamingly positive & is what shaped his image.

His speech after the 2008 Ole Miss loss. Ugh

But the amount of media hype he received was completely out of proportion to the quality of player he was - which was poor.
Whenever an athlete receives immense media hype, that player becomes polarizing to fans and judged more harshly. I am not saying it is warranted, but that is what happens.
Long before Lebron James became hated for being a super SJW, he was hated by a lot of people stemming from how much media attention he got. There used to be running jokes about how ESPN would make everything into a Lebron segment. People started to dislike him because of how much media attention he got, and that's for someone who even the biggest Lebron hater would say is and has been a top 5 athlete during his playing time.
Now you put that kind of attention on a guy like Tebow who was, at best, a below average starting NFL QB (Being generous) and people are going to hate him because of the attention he gets. I don't think it's right, he didn't ask for the attention and he doesn't seek it out, but it is what it is.

Back then I thought he was a douche, but he definitely followed through on that promise and led his team to a natty

Because he’s an attention seeking phony that’s a dog shite NFL player who’s time has passed and is taking an opportunity over somehow may actually contribute. There was prolly an undrafted TE out there with far more ability and def far more experience at the position.
This is nothing but a look at me signing for Meyer and Teblow.
