Ohio State and Michigan

Ohio State vs Michigan. I will say this though I went to the Big House for this game in the early 2000's with my UM grad neighbor. Both were top 15 teams and it was the most boring atmosphere I've ever been apart of.

The Big House is way overrated.

As much as I hate to admit it, OSU-Michigan is the bigger rivalry.
It's a consuming passion for two states, both with a heckuva lot more people than Alabama.

intrastate rivalries are more intense than interstate rivalries ... iron bowl's the best rivalry ... don't know if that fits the op's definition since he used 'bigger' ... sc and dame fans don't diss each other 364 days of the year like bama/auburn fans ... i'd venture to guess the average margin of victory in the iron bowl is smaller than either the use/dame game or the osu/mich game ... we play each other tough, no matter the record ...

Alabama/Auburn
It's the same state.
It's the same state.

Each game is equally important to each to each fan base for different reasons. For Alabama and Auburn it’s instate bragging rights and it has national implications.
For Ohio State and Michigan it’s an extension of an old feud between states and equal hatred between the schools. It also has national implications although recently it’s more one sided.
I don’t get the Alabama and Auburn rivalry because I don’t live it. They also don’t fully get ours for the same reason. It’s good enough for me to know that living with a loss to Michigan is something I’m not comfortable with and it’s the only loss that lasts.
BTW, it’s been 2190 days since Michigan last beat Ohio State. It’s also 9:32 and Michigan still sucks.

Ohio State vs Michigan seems bigger to the players and is pretty big for the fans. I feel like Alabama and Auburn is only big because of the fans and not so much the players. I’m taking Ohio State and Michigan in this one

So by the same logic, intracity rivalries are more intense than intrastate... SC v Ucla's the best rivalry. Solid.

Michigan/Ohio State.
It's worth mentioning though that the Alabama/Auburn winner has played in the national title game in 7 of the past 8 seasons.
