And not this crap of iso ball every time down the floor

Where is the triangle offense, the pick and roll, the Princeton back door

I know denver got the best big man who runs their offense and it looks great when he is in the game…but when he comes out..it not the same

Teams in general are efficiently moving the ball more than ever.

Assists per game have hit all-time highs the last couple of years while turnovers have stayed low.

Agreed. Go rewatch some 80s and 90s games and be shocked at the lack of ball movement by a lot of teams. Way more iso and backing the ball down.

2014 Spurs are the GOAT when it comes to ball movement. Check out their playoff highlights from that year.

almost every team in the league runs the same type of offense. Pick and roll, or some variant to get the defense to double the guy with the ball. Then, the goal is to outpass the close out and get an open shot.

There aren't many teams that run any set plays outside of this. So, instead of ISO ball, it is DUO ball. I'm guessing that analytics have pointed to it being more efficient to get an open look this way, vs the whole team running a play. You can have multiple shooters just waiting for a pass.

But, the point is that almost all teams look identical in what they run, with variations on which guys are controlling the ball, or which ones set the screens.

More like 2000's. The ugliest form of basketball ever played was Carmelo and Kobe iso ball. That era took 90's ISO to the extreme to the point where it was "Give the ball to Carmelo and everyone else just get out of the way and see what happens". Professional basketball was basically rec league ball.

That's part of what made the Spurs be such a beautiful form of basketball, because is was such an extreme difference from what else was being played at the same time.

This. Steph has probably the best off ball movement we have ever seen. The prime GSW years their offense was a beauty to watch.
