I guess you're right in that you can't put it past Demps to do something that stupid.

Sign Hayward, draft Fultz, trade Thomas (this is his peak value). Problem is, idk the trade market for Thomas

I think Hayward and Fultz give these guys a lot of offensive firepower. Also think Jaylen Brown is going to be pretty good. If they could somehow get a rim protector, they would be in serious business.

They aren't going to trade IT but I think it'd be for the best. Take less than his value to get what you need, a rim protector and a 3-and-D type would hit the spot IMO.

You do realize there are Cavs fans out there, right? I went to my first game during Kyrie's rookie year when they were terrible, for example

Not a Cavs fan, but I went to one the year they were shitty enough to draft Kyrie; it was the year after Lebron left. Mo Williams beat Milwaukee on a buzzer beater. Fun game. I got $10 tickets at the gate a half hour before tip.

They should have traded for George. The Pacers gave the Cavs more competition than the Raptors and Celtics.

The best move is probably keeping these picks and build a young team, hoping LeBron declines in a few years. They really have no chance even if they add PG.

Those Pacers teams had some real fight in them. They didn't back down from Miami ever, even when they lost.

These Toronto and Boston and Washington and Atlanta teams have just been fricking mental Charmin when it comes to Lebron and the Cavs.

Griffin is an unrestricted free agent this Summer. And why would you want to acquire two parts of that core?

I'd take Hayward over Griffin without question

Bring in Hayward, keep pick. Then you wait a few years

Trading a #1 overall pick for a free agent player is bananas. You're gonna have to explain that one Lester

They would need to have Lebron killed.

I was talking about the Pacers this year as a 7 seed being a tougher matchup than the 3 and 1 seed.

Dunno, but i'd draft Lonzo, then bend the Lakers over a barrel, and make them give up some of that young talent or a few additional draft picks along with having them pick the guy i was really going to pick at #1, in order to get him from us....

Lakers aren't that desperate for Ball. They would just take Fultz

Cause signing Gordon Hayward and drafting a 19 yr old ain't winning the East.

someone from this class is a first team all star PG.

choose.

sign hayward and pick the actual best PG from the top several, and they have the Brooklyn #1 for next year.
again, have to pick the actual best forward from the next class.
and the best European big with their own #1 from next year.

possible. very long shot. it happens.

Even in a sign and trade, the clippers would have no leverage at all to demand the #1 overall pick
