I've kind of gotten into this as a sport. We made our "stones" from granite and galv. pipe.

Any sport where drinking is encouraged during the event is alright in my book.

This question perfectly encapsulates why the Winter Olympics is irrelevant. The only individual sport with any sort of prestige is figure skating and the audience of that sport skews heavily female. Outside of ice hockey, what is there for men to watch in the Winter Olympics?

So wrong. The Winter Olympics are the best, the problem is the coverage is all about figure skating like has been said before. All the skiing/snowboard events, luge, bobsled, biathlon, speed skating, it's all good. I could sit at home in front of the fireplace with the snow piling up outside and drink beer and watch non-stop WInter Olympic coverage for weeks on end. Too bad work gets in the way.

Hockey is great. Curling is great. Skiing is great. Luge and bobsled are great. Unfortunately NBC teats primetime like they're covering the International Figure Skating Championships, with a little Winter X Games sprinkled in.

Hockey, Luge, Bobsled, Ski Jump, Speed skating, all of the downhill skiing events, and Skull

Really, Winter is my favorite, i love a shite load of the events.

Only things i don't watch are the lame x-game crap and figure skating. Biathlon and Nordic Combined are boring.

The winter Olympics are cool. But everyone knows the summer Olympics are the main event

Short-Track speed skating was exciting as shite when Opolo Ohno was really good. Like for real, that was standing up from your seat thru the whole race good. Crazy awesome to watch. You think everyone is gonna whipe out on every single turn. People pass like 5 guys in one turn. Its awesome.

Hockey is also pretty fun when the US plays Russia or Canada. Also, those snowboard races are pretty cool.

I must admit I like watching curling even though I don't quite know why.

However, the two man luge makes me a little uncomfortable. A pair of guys spooning for a mile on a sled at 70 mph just doesn't do it for me.

Slalom the Super is good too, but classic downhill is my favorite.

Also enjoy speed skating.

speed skating, luge/bobsled, and cross country skiing are favorites. But I'll watch anything, including figure skating.

I generally like the winter olympics more than the summer games overall. I love the bobsled, luge, and have a ton of respect for the cross country skiers. Might be the toughest olympic sport of all.

+1 on this. Men's downhill is an intense, incredible sporting event, and the speeds they hit are phenomenal. Long-Track Speedskating is a distant second for me.

As most have said on here the downhill and other alpine events are great to watch. But I forgot to list one in my OP....

The Nordic Combined, these guys jump off the Medium hill and then do a 5k ski. I find it amazing how these guys use two separate skill sets in one event. Also as with most, these events have military backgrounds.
