Maybe next they'll hire Steve Adazzio as run game coordinator and Todd Grantham as DC.

I love to shite on Ryan Day. I don’t think this is really that bad of a move.

@WillBrinson
Bill O’Brien spent eight total years working for either Bill Belichick (2007-2011, 2023) or Nick Saban (2021-2022) and didn’t win a Super Bowl or a National Championship.

That’s gotta be a club with a membership of one

Also shows that Belichick is going to bring back McDaniels and not BoB

This. My biggest fear about the Falcons hiring BB was that he’d want BoB to come along as well. No thank you

We didn’t think it was such a bad move when he was hired at Alabama.

We learned our lesson.

He was a Jameson Williams injury away from beating that vaunted Georgia defense twice in one season

In some ways I hate it but in others I'm ok with it.

OSU needed a voice of experience to help Day be "in charge" of the offense. I don't think BoB is the greatest ever, but he has run a number of good offenses.

I'm in wait and see mode. That 2021 Bama offense was pretty good and they had limited weapons at WR as they had to bring Jameson in from OSU.

I'm at like a 4 out of 10 excitement as I was hoping to bring in some "new" blood

O’Brien is better than the bland crap OSU is running now.

...and this dumbass thought Knowles should be fired this season, so you know this hire has to be pretty good.

Basically just to help him have the balls to try to win vs teams with equal talent instead of playing to not lose

If you were looking to best describe the phrase “bland crap” with any person on this earth, that person would be Bill O’Brien

In 2 years at Bama, he called the offense that won Bryce Young a Heisman Trophy and developed him into the #1 overall pick. You watch Bryce Young this year in Carolina. Perhaps BOB didn't a much better job than previously thought.

I mean, I certainly wouldn't want him as my HC, but I think you could do a lot worse as an OC.

Lots of smoke that #5 overall player, and #1 QB Julian Sayin will be headed to Ohio State.

O'Brien was his lead recruiter at Bama.

The only problem with BoB is his stubbornness to keep forcing a square peg in the round hole. I also think you need a pure drop back passer who can scan the entire field good rather than a half field read QB.
